You also need to ask though, why would Ver so blatantly promise to be active and then just disappear? Again, something like that is going to be picked up on (and it was). I don't think Ver would make a statement like that if he knew he wasn't going to be around to post. But as you said, he can just use that excuse if he comes back, whether he was feigning inactivity or genuinely gone. And i don't think that really tells us if he was mafia or innocent, because he could be a) mafia and actually gone b) mafia and faking inactive c) innocent and actually gone I don't think any innocent person would fake inactivity. But then this raises another question: how woul Ver act if he is the traitor? Blargh

And since it's essentially unprovable unless you know the person outside of the game, it's easy to lie about. Yeah this is basically what I was trying to say, in so many words.

Nemy could have asked qatol for the template for the cluecheck failure pm, the red herring picture means nothing

Just a side note that L did the exact same thing as mafia last game. it was quite hilarious how he never got caught though XD The way I played last game and the way I played this game are obviously MASSIVELY different. I was/am the highest posting volume player in the game. I came out very strong during day 1. Both are something I haven't done previously. Making a strong argument is the only thing I've done which fits with previous play.

What if Ace and Ver are both mafia? Everyone seems to have ignored that.

Then that will become apparent with time and we can still win, even though Ace would be able to Pardon a single fellow Mafia member. As is, there isn't sufficient proof for me (or for the majority of people, it seems) to go along with this "safest route" plan.

But he hasn't even popped in to just leave a remark since right after the day post Yup Mynock you know it's coming. I have been busy yes, but I've still been around plenty. I have pm'ed a lot of people I felt were innocent regularly after I realized talking in the thread was useless, and have been busy doing analysis and feeling too apathetic to deal with this awful mess. It was a real pain trying to refigure out this game after I realized a huge number of people that I considered were playing well below their normal level are simply dumb non-mafia. Yeah it was a huge mistake to run for mayor and watch it kill my motivation, sorry. But I don't care about fulfilling campaign promises if the situation changes. As mafia I have much more reason to keep suspicion off myself and stick to what I say whereas I'll do if I please if I'm innocent. Don't worry my reveal-all post will come soon. Need to write it and send some things to my coalition first.

I just don't think it likely atm. I'd like to take this opportunity to ask people to make the swap to Ver. At this stage it's Ace 7 - 11 Ver, ver's vote counts for 3, making it 10 - 11. All that has to happen at that point is for a mafia voting for ver to swap to Ace, or a couple of the mafia abstaining/not voting/voting for others to 'finally decide to go to Ace' after a massive post from ver that will tip the lynch vote. Don't let mafia control the day 2 lynch!

Ace would be the least scrutinizable individual in the game: he's got a group of followers that have consistently defended him since day 1, cannot be rolechecked, and cannot even be looked at during a double lynch. This is the equivalent of the argument we made for Qatol earlier: "Well, its cool, we'll just kill him a turn later if we find out something's fishy" in the face of a mountain of evidence against him.

Don't let mafia control the day 2 lynch! No, pretty much everyone has discounted it. Examine who would be defending who in this thread based on the voting pattern if both members are mafia: Early bandwagon on Ver along with a straggler switch onto Ace. Odd coincidence that many of those players are the ones pushing so heavily for a Ver lynch and discounting that Ace is likely mafia? Everything fits in that situation.
