Starcraft on Leopard (Mac)

I can't host games while playing SC on Leopard.

I have the built-in firewall disabled and my router has the 6112 ports correctly forwarded so it's not my router's problem, proof of that is that when I reboot on the same computer using Windows XP I can host games without any problem.

Any mac players out here that know how to fix this?

edit: I've also tried doing some stuff over the terminal without success such as:

+ Show Spoiler +

ipfw add allow tcp from any to any 6112
ipfw add allow udp from any to any 6112

Any ideas?

Your ip when you boot to mac might actually be different so depending how your port forwarding works you might need to change it every time you want to host depending what you boot into.

This happens to me when I want to host war3 games.
Boot to windows my ip is 192.x.x.101
Boot to os x my ip is 192.x.x.103

So in my router settings I have to make sure it's set to forward to the correct ip depending on which OS I'm in.

This is on a PC, no bootcamp. Doing a dual boot with Windows 7 and one of the osx86 projects.

Well that's true, but I had already thought about this and forced my IP to be the same (192.x.x.140) on both win and mac.

Do you happen to play bw when you're on osx86?

Yes I have, but I haven't tried hosting any games. Just war3.

tbh, i cannot think of anything other than spend $50 to get a cheap, old windows box for hosting starcraft games. (or get one for free)

I have spent hours trying to fix this. Everything seems to be the exact same between when I load into windows and when I load into mac. The only difference is I can't host on mac. -.-

I think a recent update to SC might have wiped us out. It just stopped working (hosting) one day. (I don't updated on mac regularly.)

@v Exactly. I doubt that there are many mac users who are putting up a fuss about this and it is even less likely that the recent patches were tested extensively on a mac.

Maybe it has something to do with Starcraft mac version and not the OS itself... I do also recall having hosted on my mac some time ago. I guess we're not enough users for Blizzard to really attend to...
