I’ve been busy like hell these days, that means there’s hardly time for StarCraft in particular.
Today, after having my work finished for game.vzone.vn, I started to surf Teamliquid.net – one of the most powerful StarCraft fansite among the community. I found some new pictures about my favourite progamer – Bisu[Shield]. I found many topics that I had never ever read before. And…suddenly, I felt so lost and empty.
I have been “temporarily quitting” following Korean professional StarCraft scenes. Now, if you asked me about the current process of Starleague or Proleague, I’d feel to be killed immediately.
Being lost in my emotions, I wonder if my love for StarCraft has finally come to an end. Honestly, I think that at the moment I’m paying all of my attention to CS. My friends are mostly Counter Strike players and I chat with them on MSN everyday. We share our thoughts, our stories and it brings me some good memories back. It reminds me of my childhood when my soul was completely “stolen” by something in Counter Strike matches with my friends, my classmates.
Aww….tell me what happened to me, won’t you? I’m stuck!!!

Wrong I feel kind of the same though... It`s just hard to keep interest and motivation to get better when your friends play all the shitty games (I dont mean CS here).

what, sometimes i don't play starcraft for months at a time, i always come back. i've played 1.6/css at a competitive level also, gotta keep it varied. :3

This title was misleading. I was expecting an epic tail of love lost... and it wasn't as epic as I had hoped

Aww I got all excited when I saw the topic title because I thought it was about me.
Well, follow your heart! You can never go wrong with happiness and satisfaction.

I have one really good friend in real life that's around the same level as me in Starcraft. I definitely agree that having someone there to chat with and play with from real life brings the game to a whole different level. It's pretty cool seeing how far we have progressed from about a year ago when we really started playing "serious".
In your case though, if you still have interest in sc, there are plenty of ways of finding friends in the sc community. Iccup's a really keep to yourself kind of place, but TL.net, sc2gg.com, sc clans, and other sc communities are out there, you just gotta be extrovert enough to seek out some other people to play with. If sc isn't for you now, I'm sure you'll find your way back to it eventually :-D.

I have my StarCraft team in Vietnam. They are good boys and we're like a real family. I love them so much.
I don't know what happened to me. I just felt so lost standing in the middle of Korean scene after long time no watching.
and btw, CSS is for newbie. CS 1.6 is much better!

that's funny. i began with following the competitive CS scene... then it just gradually died especially when that cs:s crap took over, and I got into SC after my friends told me to play. now i think watching CS and all that is boring as hell. SC is way more fun to watch! but yeah it's way more fun if you have friends to talk to about all this stuff

CSS is great is you're abysmally shit at pc games and want to feel good about yourself.
|
Well thats why i play games, to feel good about myself / have fun

Wow can't believe anyone who knows about starcraft thinks that cs>sc. :/
|
i didnt mean cs > sc in fact, starcraft still has the highest position in my heart but i felt i've lost some exciting feelings watching the korean scenes T_T
