No, im not talking about the demo that was like at november of last year. Im talking about the L4D Demo of its like a instant replay of you watching yourself. Basically, I want to record myself, and heres some dilemas.
1: I dont know wtf to do, what programs to use, and how to use it 2: When I record it, I want to be able to make the file into a AVI so I can easily put it into youtube or something like that 3: Third and most hardly founding is, when I recorded with the Demo in the console, it did everything I wanted, except number 2, and that I couldn't record my own voice, so im trying to find any way to get that to work
My games are freaking hilarious and I want to keep it for good memories

fraps is probably the simplest. In game you can use startmovie command but that exports bmps and i forget how to turn that into a movie since I haven't used it in years

startmovie in console, it will get you alot of bmps, use videomach to convert them into a avi. Use vegas and or other programs to do the effects n such.
Hint : Google "How to : counter-strike movie"
Works on all valve/steam games.

Use gamecam, it's a lot better than fraps in my experiences with it, doesn't seem to slow me down so much in game compared to the slowdown of frame rate in fraps.

For getting it to record your own voice in the .dem file:
voice_loopback 1
Then one way to record the avi is to use fraps to record the screen while playing the demo file, and then compress the fraps avi file with like virtual dub so it's not huge.
