Bisu
Thoughts after the first game of your Ro8 match? -Because it’s a very…unwilling…game, it was kind of difficult…I was also worried because I didn’t really know how to prepare…I ended up not preparing at all. I sit right next to Best in practice, and we also practice together for Winner’s League, so neither of us really prepared. It was only until I got to the game that I decided to do an All-in, which ended up having good effect.
You won using an All-in, something you don’t use often. -There are 3 games in the Ro8, so using an All-in in game 1 isn’t bad…it can also be seen as mindgames.
How do you plan on practicing for next week’s games? -First off, I think it’s possible that today’s win won’t have any effect on next week’s game…I personally don’t view today’s win as anything important…..I will practice hard for next week’s game; I hope I can enter the Ro4.
This is the second time you went up against Best, and the first time since you guys became teammates. -During in-team matches, I usually win, so I only know the feeling after victory, not the feeling of defeat.
You’re opening in tomorrow’s Winner’s League game. -I really am practicing very hard for tomorrow’s games. My goal is to get an All-kill, so I carefully prepared for maps 1-4. After seeing Nada win yesterday’s game 1 with ease, I thought he was going to take the series 3-0…If I can win the first game tomorrow, I believe I can bring victory to my team.
After tomorrow’s game, Winner’s League will end. Will you be devoting all your time into individual leagues? -I don’t really have any plans, not sure.
Last thoughts? -I’m very sorry Best…I hope that no matter who wins next week, neither of us will have to feel apologetic.

Thanks for the interview It's always sad when teammates have to play each other. (Except when Jangbi knocked Stork out of a starleague, because Stork had that one coming)

Thanks for the translation..
Please all-kill now..

"it can also be seen as mindgames." aka: "It's only too look smart, but I'm really just being a bitch."
Still, respect to Bisu, but I hope he gets mauled by Luxury in the semis.

Thanks for all of these translations Carnivorous!
I wonder...is Bisu serious about no practice for his OSL games? Or are both Bisu and BeSt telling each other they're not practicing, but secretly doing so? lol

They say they sit next to each other in practice, how would they secretly practice? XD

Bisu keeps setting himself up to get owned in case he disappointments us. When he said that he always wins in practice, it reminded me of when he gave Jaedong two 5s. Oh well.

Now who's disrespecting who?

Funny how he had to mention that he didn't prepare at all. Just saying that both him and best didnt prepare was enough. =/ sigh

I don't even watch Starcraft and Bisu impresses the shit out of me.

I dunno if he's arrogant. I don't think he means to be, he's just really honest and says what he thinks without considering how people might take it. He's certainly confident in himself, yeah. But come on, he could legitimately win this time, it's so exciting.

"I’m very sorry Best…I hope that no matter who wins next week, neither of us will have to feel apologetic." ~> seems like a nice enough guy to me, I don't know why some people consider him a bitch when they don't really know the guy.
"During in-team matches, I usually win, so I only know the feeling after victory, not the feeling of defeat." ~> what a baller, #1 Dragon ^.^
on the side note when did he get that earring, is it recently? I believe Savior is the first pro I've seen with it, sweet style like myself.

But come on, he could legitimately win this time, it's so exciting. exactly, he's blunt and honest, always has been. and of course he thinks really highly of himself. but i really don't think he intends to be insulting.
if someone has bad vp and he loses to them he'll always say, "i was surprised i lost (or shouldn't have lost) because x has bad vp." the battle.net attack is a good example of this, when the announcers are joking with bisu why he dodged savior's terran in practice, and bisu laughed and said he thought it would be bad. then later in the match the announcers asked him about savior's terran and he joked and said it was shitty, and that he was playing shitty too
if he gets lucky he says he got lucky (scouting doom drops, glitching a probe into his opponents base to scout, etc.). recently, in his gom win, he basically admitted jangbi was better than him in a multitasking vs. multitasking style, and said he was nervous in the match (ie unsure he was better), and admitted he got a bit lucky to win.
whenever he mentions 3-0, it's because he thinks there's a certain meta-game in winning the first game which makes it easier to 3-0. july has expressed similar sentiments in interviews
of course, i can understand how this is off-putting...but i guess what i'm trying to say is if you care about intent, his interviews are almost always without malice.
and as for this interview, bisu was implying that the first game doesn't mean he's won the series already, and that best still has a chance. he was really respectful/apologetic too, if you want to shit on him for any interview this is probably the worst one.

I think ppl get annoyed more by the obnoxious fanboys and the fact that Bisu really does smash a lot of their heroes. Although, your analysis and examples were a very nice read Traced.
