DT drops are evil and should not be attempted. Ever.

I always wondered if good terrans like have the timing of when range should be finished. Like if they got a scv into your base after losing the first scout and your core is still spinning if he knew the timing he would know you canceled it or did air weap.

Just some general notes on timing the different tech buildings: Templar archives and gateway have same build time, so after your citadel pops, add gateway and archives at the same time.
DT buildtime is 50, shuttle is 60, robo is 80, gateway is 60, citadel is 60, so build the robo at half citadel (If I recall you'll have just enough gas).
Also, you probably should not block your ramp with a probe, and instead let the scv into your base and then chase it down once you get a dragoon (while you upg fake air weapons) because you want T to be unsuspicious as possible. Even though preventing the scv scout would let you get your tech 100 gas earlier, terran would play much safer reducing the effect of your surprise drop.

This was really helpful, thanks 5/5!

dt drops never work and no one should ever ever ever ever ever ever do them. as a matter of fact don't even build that cybernetics core in pvt! its not worth it. zealots and probes all the way

LOL Scouts.
You are terrible.

Isn't it REALLY unlikely to get an SCV in after the first one dies because usually they'll have more than one Dragoon blocking the ramp by then ..

Did I see a scout? Awesome.

I really enjoyed watching this. I really like to DT Drop into expo on maps like Andromeda.

DT drop is one of the more legit builds in Starcraft. They're fun.
Btw, I hope you throw in more tech (sooner) when you aren't so far ahead.

Well if the terran got another scv to mine a min before the first scv died or somehow got it in because the toss left his choke or something.

you are a terrible person for sharing these forbidden secrets

yeah then the protoss is fucked for good if the scv manages to see what the protoss builds, etc etc.
By the way DT Drop is the most annoying strat ever as a terran. Fuck DTs.

Proxying your citadel can help. But a good Terran will count your pylons and see that you're missing one.
Which is why making a habit of regularly proxying your 2nd or 3rd pylon can be helpful sometimes if you're playing straight-up
