All three of them are worse than Jaedong. All of them made OSL. What the heck were you thinking?
I'm not sure we get to count jaedong, seeing as he didn't even manage to make it into the OSL- he might not be eligible for the award

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork (Runner-up - Fantasy) (We can now officially say that Stork is on top of the world, and we can only wonder if he'll stay there... After all, it's not like we can make a prediction based on his history.)
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock (Runner-up - Backho) (eventhoughI<3BackHo) =(
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy (Runner-up - Much)
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong (Runners-up - July/Flash) (Oh Jaedong, I thought you were invincible?..)
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Fantasy (Runner-up - TheZerg) (Fantasy is amazingly talented, and made it to the finals using some innovating techniques combined with some incredible play, but I really just can't see him repeating that feat.)
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma
Game of the Tournament Stork vs. Fantasy OSL final game 2 (It wasn't that it was a close game, or even a unique game, but rarely do you see play that flawless. Stork had every aspect of that game on absolute lockdown.)
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash vs. GGPlay game 3 (You could see it in Flash's eyes - It seemed so surreal. It was as if didn't come to reality for him, or anyone else, that he had actually fallen until he typed 'gg' that final time.)
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague BeSt (He's come so close. He has the talent. He has the potential. He deserves it. His time has come.

And fantasy did good in all MU, stork did not face any real zergzzzz.. lol the "stork didn't face any REAL zergs" is making me laugh. Stork can beat any zerg right now besides Jaedong, including GGPlay. Stork would have a legitimate 50-50 shot verses Jaedong anyway, because he's incredibly hot right now while JD isn't. So stop pulling that nonsense out of your ass. Many former starleague winners also had the luck of avoiding their weakest matchup, at least to a certain degree. You need to get a little more creative on how to belittle Stork's achievement bud.
And yes it's such a lol because I don't see how you can argue Stork wasn't "the highest achiever" in the Starleague, basically meaning the winner. It could indeed just be called the player who won the OSL award. Why are you even asking that question of fantasy coming in second or stork winning it? This isn't about the surprise factor, it's about who did the best. Stork beat the long time curse and jinx of the silver medal, and beat the toughest opponents on the way.
I am not trying to make you vote for Stork or give you shit for not doing so because I know he will win it anyways, but it ticks me off that you are taking away from what he achieved.

Plasma for "Bifrost" map: it may have balance issues, but it produced a nice variety of interesting strats.
TheZerg is my dark-horse candidate for next OSL winner.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Close call between BackHo and Rock, but I'll go with BackHo.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Another close call between Much and Fantasy..I'll give it to Fantasy.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Luxury
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award I don't think GGPlay will do nearly as well as this OSL.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa!
Game of the Tournament Stork vs Bisu Game 3 or Stork vs Fantasy Game 5. Hmm I think Stork vs Bisu was better because of its unreal intensity.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash vs GGPlay Game 3 on Plasma. I was literally saying wtf while watching that game..
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Oh man there are so many contenders. Stork, BeSt, Jaedong.. Stork, though.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork. No questions here, he finally got the job done.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much. All protoss picks so far, but Much gets my vote for his creative play throughout the Ro16. One bases carriers, using Medusa's cliff to proxy July, you name it.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award July. It was is own undoing by creating his Group of Death, and he failed to follow up a championship performance as he couldn't even escape the Ro16.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Thezerg.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma. Despite it's shortcomings in the balance department Plasma was the one map that continued to churn out interesting and entertaining games week in and week out.
Game of the Tournament Stork/fantasy game 5 was most exciting. OSL finals game 5. It's been too long since we've had one.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award GGPlay/Flash game 3 when the game turned around in the span of 15 seconds.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Stork. Now that he's over the hump and has his first gold, I think he can make another title run.

Is it bad to think the game of the tournament might be game 4 of the finals? I mean I know 5 was the end all be all, but I don't think I was grabbing my monitor as much in 5 as I was in 4 :3

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork keeps getting picked for this award, for good reason. He made his way through Best, Bisu, and Fantasy, only losing 4 games in the process of making it through the entire OSL. He broke Best's PvP streak, beat Bisu who seemed like he had stork's number after the finals in the 2007 MSL, and beat the royal roader, Fantasy, without choking like he's famous for. He beat his demons, and can now be considered the best PvP player on the face of the planet, the best PvT player on the planet, and if not the best PvZ player on the planet, he's at least top 3 (even if he didn't play any during the OSL, he played outside of the tournament and won) Who it's not: Fantasy. He did well to get where he did, and if he had won he would be eligible for this award. However, after rolling GGplay with his mech build, and stunning everyone by pulling himself up with his shoelaces in the finals, he just didn't have what it took to compete with stork, who managed to shed the title of Chokemaster.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock Rock Rock. What are you doing. After watching you go 0-3 in your group, I don't think that you have what it takes to get much further than just barely out of your group. Who it's not: Backho, who also went 0-3 in his group. It's not him because both Fantasy and Stork came from his group.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much needs to get this award. He's shown some awesome play on some of these maps. 1 Base Carrier on Plasma? *check* Cannon Rush on Medusa *check* He might not have won, and the strategies have been around for a while, but the execution and the style is what makes Much one of the most exciting progamers to watch.
Who it's not (but could be): Fantasy: his mech build against ggplay was insane, and inspired a bunch of other progamers to try to copy the exactly same strategy (who haven't had as much success). Fantasy showed good planning, and Brilliant execution.
Fantasy: game 4 against Stork in the finals on Plasma. Watching the path the dropship took, as well as the scouting information that his scv got leading to his 4 vult drop with everything planned out was stunning. He had the exact build, pathing, and timing mapped out in his mind, and it showed. If you're only going to watch one game from fantasy that convinces you that he's the second coming of boxer, watch this one.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong: you're the best zerg on the face of the planet. And you didn't qualify. What happened? Who it's not: Flash: The ultimate weapon on a T weighted map. And what happens? You lose?... July: The osl Curse gets you a break on this award. Lucky you. Oh, and you qualified.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award TheZerg. We're just not going to get to see him again. He did fairly well to get to where he did, but then he just got stomped by Midias on Plasma. He managed to get through because he was better prepared than his opponents; I don’t feel that he actually played better than his opponents.
Who it's not: Stork cannot be a one hit wonder- He's consistently made it to finals, he can't even be in contention. Fantasy cannot get it either, as he has both oov and boxer coming to his team, and many other players have done worse than he did when they first made it into the osl. If you think fantasy is going to be a one hit wonder, what on earth can you think about TheZerg. Midias has shown that he's not a one hit wonder, as he has managed to innovate, and play the game at the highest levels for quite some time.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma- On this map, we got to see everything from a 1 base carrier to 3 nexus and everything in between from protoss, everything from 3 hatch to 1 base tech from zerg, and everything from 14 cc to 2 machine shop 4 vult drop from T. With that wide of a variation, it can only mean one thing: no one had any idea of how to play this map, which generated some really exciting games.
What it's not: Medusa. The map generated some cheesy games, some good games, some exciting games, and it ended up being more balanced than Plasma. However, It doesn't deserve the award, just because in the end It turned out to be a more standard macro map with the destroyable backdoor providing another twist. Game of the Tournament Stork Vs. Fantasy, game 5: this game was amazing. The play wasn’t transcendent, like it was for stork in games 1 and 2, or fantasy in games 3 and for. However, at the start of the game, we were looking at a 2-2 tied series in the OSL Finals, with the master of choke looking at yet another second place, and the royal roader on a high after he had managed to get himself into the OSL finals. The Hype, the drama, the history, all came together to set the stage for either The Royal Roader to earn his way to the top, or for the Choker to break his streak, and show the world what he was made of. Game five was the kind of setup that fans dream of, and that’s what we got. The only thing that would make it better would have been unbelievable play from both sides. Instead, we merely got top level play from both players. Runner up game of the tournament: Fantasy v stork, game 3: Fantasy showed us why he belonged in the series with this game. If he had gotten overrun in a 3-0 series, everyone would be talking about how dominant stork looked, how in control he had the series, how much he must have practiced. Instead, we get fantasy showing us how to micro, how to macro, how to make stork panic. Exactly what we would expect from oov, from boxer, and now, what we got to see from fantasy.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash vs. GGPlay game 3, plasma: GGplay managed to turn this game around like it was nothing. Flash looked like he had it in the bag, and then ggplay manages to steal the win away from flash. Amazing. If you haven’t seen it, watch it. The ultimate weapon got beaten, and didn’t believe it. Not quite: Best vs stork, Plasma- This game was really really good play from both sides. The fact that stork didn’t manage to get a manner pylon down until best wasn’t paying attention, the fact that best was able to fight it off, the fact that it was a deciding game. Stork showed how he was better than best in that game, and played his strengths to an epic deciding win. The gg that game, and that series, was well deserved.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague I’m going to say Best. He’s so close to upping his game just one level. He has micro, he has macro, and he can be downright scary dominant when he’s in the groove. He needs to make sure he doesn’t become another also ran, someone who we forget in a few seasons as someone who “never made it”. There are plenty of runner up’s for this award though.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy - Watching game 4 of the OSL finals, I was pretty sure that Boxer himself had swapped places in the booth with Fantasy. Oh ya, and I guess his mech build was pretty cool. ^_^
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award TheZerg. - Probably because he'll realize his nick is kinda goofy and change it, voila, no more TheZerg in an OSL.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma - Plasma to me is the map the players hate to play, but one people love to watch.
Game of the Tournament Stork Vs. Fantasy, game 4 - It showed that Fantasy had practiced for this map immensely, and while not as emotional as game 5 obviously, game 4 style some old down and dirty Starcraft, and boy was it fun to watch.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash vs. GGPlay game 3
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Best (Though if Fantasy can figure out how to diversify his army by the next OSL, I fear for everyone else)

I don't think he did say that; you said first that you were laughing at those who voted for Fantasy for that award. Voting is just that - an opiniated voice. While no one who is voting for Fantasy (maybe some jerks) are saying that Stork didn't deserve it, rather they are voicing respect for Fantasy for being able to stand up to a veteran, 'choker' or not - he did well.

Well, uhm, I don't consider winning 1 game in group stage a "wonder", so TheZerg couldn't even be a candidate for The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award IMO. And Fantasy got where he did mostly because of his best matchup everywhere + GGPlay's inability to react correctly to his (or rather oov's ) build, that's why I don't think he's gonna reach the finals again soon.

I agree.
I thought the Garimto award was for the most unexpectedly good finish. So in that sense, it's to be expected for Fantasy to get a few votes. And I think normally, I wouldn't think someone of Stork's calibur winning the gold to be that big of a deal. But given Stork's history, even if he is the best SC player on the planet, him winning a finals is still considered monumental.
