If you've been reading the news then you'll already know the categories, if not you're about to see them. Simply pm your votes to Plexa to have your vote counted. The categories this season are…
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament To the player TeamLiquid.net believes was the overall highest achiever in this Incruit 2008 OSL. The contenders should be obvious.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Who deserved to have been consigned to the rubbish heap during the first round of the OSL?
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Go with your gut feeling. Which player showed the greatest creativity or brightened the tournament with his flair and inspiration?

The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Which player has had his moment in the sun will be making a short appearance next OSL?
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Which map inspired the most brilliant and entertaining games of the tournament?
Game of the Tournament
Which individual game was the most exciting or entertaining of the tournament? Or which game showed the highest skill?

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament: Stork. Despite not fighting any zerg, the play he put up in some of the series, especially the one vs BeSt was phenomenal enough for me to give him this vote. + Show Spoiler +A deserving winner all in all The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Did any of you watch Violet play Light in the RO36? Wow. just.. wow... I mean sure, he knows how to macro properly and someone seems to have given him a handbook on what units counter what in PvT, but the way he used the units and mainly the way he engages a terran push.. oh gosh, it reminds me soooo much of watching my own replays vs a competent terran. All units get chewed up and you're sitting there going "huh? WHAT?" That was Violet's PvT.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy - for what he did to GGPlay in the semis. That build could seriously have an impact on TvZ to come.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Hello Jaedong. Where were you?
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award I'm going to have to say thezerg. As hyped as he's been, he just didn't impress me at all and I think it was just a fluke that he made the playoffs.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa. I play the map a lot nowadays and I think it holds a lot of potential as a map that rewards creativity, but still holds to the modern macro-heavy kind of map. Balance could be discussed, but we'll see if it's played some more.
Game of the Tournament This one is hard, and I might edit this later, but I think the game where GGPlay took 5 bases vs Flash and came down on him with a thousand ultralisks was pretty darn sexy.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Not that it schocked me really, but I was really "WTF!!" several times in the Bisu vs Stork game where Bisu just wouldn't stop attacking uphill and ignored observers to the point where it cost him the game and a ticket to the semis. Bad boy Bisu. Bad boy.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague I think BeSt is building up a lot of anger right now. Anger that I think will make him come back more deadlier than ever, rather than fizzling away. We'll see.
I'm reserving this post for future editing as I might reconsider a lot of stuff. And yes, I am also PMing this to Plexa.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork. No Zergs, but I bet he could have had a great shot at any zerg but Jaedong, who wasn't around anyway. Also, SKT1 all-kill despite Oov's best efforts.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock (0-3 and I think he's a bit worse than Backho, the other 0-3. Also, both finalists came from Backho's group.)
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy (awesome builds vs. GGPlay, great build on Stork's best map, Plasma)
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Flash (I guess this was for players that literally weren't in the tournament, not ones that failed to meet expectations. Oh well. Should have said Jaedong)
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award TheZerg I hope not tho... I love that he looks the part.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma (great build by Stork vs. BeSt, as well as Fantasy vs. Stork. I remember Mind doing something entertaining at some point and it's definitely weird. Might have screwed the zergs but games without zergs were great.
Game of the Tournament
Which individual game was the most exciting or entertaining of the tournament? Or which game showed the highest skill? Bisu vs. Stork Game 3 Nail biting comeback and soooo many skirmishes at midfield ending in draws.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Which single moment rocked the tournament more than any other? Fantasy's Mech Builds vs. GGPlay
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Stork (Golden mouse time, yeah!)

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork, great play throughout the OSL
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock, who else?
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much for his 1 base carrier build vs Bisu, and his Forge wall in canon rush vs july.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong or Forgg were missing from this.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award My gut says it gonna be Fantasy, next OSL hell get a one way trip out of the ro16 and he is never coming back.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa is a pretty Sexy map with lots of viable options, a bit imba towards terran but nevertheless pretty entrertaining.
Game of the Tournament Cant say, yet to see the Vods of the finals.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award GGplay vs Flash game 3, just wtf.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Thezerg you heard it here first

You know what, samachking. If I could do it again, I would vote for Much too. Considering how the Fantasy-build probably was an oov-concoction and not of his own making and looking at how friggin brilliant Much's cannon rush was against July.. yeah.. I'd say Much if I had another vote.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork - No explanation needed, Stork made this HIS OSL in the end, and finally he pulled himself to composure in a game 5.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player BackHo - BackHo sucks. How did he get in there?
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy - Hardly a contest, he won that series against GGPlay through sheer genius of preparation.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award July - Post OSL slump, and he is out after group stage.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Midas - Don't think he will make playoffs next time.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma - Everything between 3 expansions before units, cheese, one base carrier.
Game of the Tournament Stork vs. Bisu, game 3. - That was the game I was most excited by while watching, such an intense match with both running head to head for almost the entire game.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award GGPlay vs. Flash, Game 3, Ling runthrough, minedrag, Flash's face. - With a sudden burst, Flash's hopes in this OSL were gone. That one was traumatical.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague BeSt - He will get his chance, we have to see when.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Like everyone else, I say Stork. Despite the lack of zergs.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock, as always, sucks tremendously. I'm sure other people played worse, but Rock is just an insult to pro gaming.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award This is really hard. Fantasy's new TvZ build was absolute genius, but this award is about who "brightened the tournament with his flair and inspiration". The only possible selection is Much. He produced a ton of spectacularly entertaining games (1 base carrier? Cannon rushing July?) that were thrilling to watch and were really the highlight of the early OSL.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award A lot of people are saying Flash, but I mean come on, he made it to the round of 8 and 3-0'd his group of doom. Has to be Jaedong.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Fantasy. You heard it here first.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma was whack (in a good way). Sure it might have some balance issues or whatever, but we saw some insane games on the map which was awesome.
Game of the Tournament Fantasy vs. GGplay, game 4. Really demonstrated Fantasy's new build which he executed perfectly. It was like a "how-to" guide on Fantasy's TvZ.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award When Flash was knocked out in game 3 vs. GGplay. WUT. I was pulling a bisu face for the last 30 seconds.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague BeSt. Aside from being a huge Best fan, this guy has ridiculous talent. He just needs to improve his Pvz.
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork, no contest.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award iloveoov for obvious reasons, if he doesnt count then Stork. I just cant give the full credit of those awesome builds fantasy did to himself.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa, obviously.
Game of the Tournament Stork vs Best with Stork proxying in Bests main was pretty awesome - game 1 I believe.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award fantasy gging in the 5th game - but maybe I'm biased since it was just a short time ago.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague I'd like to see flash pull it together and become more like iloveoov during his reign.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament
Fantasy Almost a Loyal Loader
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player
TheRock He just went there to get stomped.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award
Fantasy Inspired a lot of half assed metal builds on iccup
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award
July He had 2 Protoss in his group and still failed to deliver. Very disappointing.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award
Impossible to say. All players had a lot of potential this OSL.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award
Plasma The many ways to wax a Zerg
Game of the Tournament
Much vs Bisu on Plasma The carrier strat almost worked! This game got me so excited.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award
When Flash somehow managed to get himself eliminated despite playing against a Zerg on Plasma.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague
Savior He will destroy everyone, ok? In 2009.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork. This was monumental accomplishment.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy, no doubt, for his play in the semis and finals.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award GGplay. I thought his play this time was very fluky. No chance next tournament.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma. It's hard to find a map where an open cheese is not risky(Stork vs. Best) and where the losing player would turn around the entire game in 10 seconds(ggplay vs. flash).
Game of the Tournament Stork vs. Fantasy game 5. Not because the game itself was any good, as Stork looked solid to win from the moment he sniped that tank. But rather the fact that it was a career/legacy-defining game.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award ggplay vs. flash game 3, the last 30 seconds before flash GGed.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Stork. I think he finally got over the mental block. And as long as Stork doesn't beat himself, I can't see anyone short of Jaedong beating him in any Bo5 with proper preparation.
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament + Show Spoiler +Stork, he finally made it.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock by far.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award
Much for his 1 base carrier build vs Bisu, and his Forge wall in canon rush vs july. This. Also Stork's Plasma strat against Best (proxy gates in main) as 2nd
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong obviously.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award I don't think Fantasy is going to do that good ever again.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma.
Game of the Tournament Much vs Bisu on Plasma
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award + Show Spoiler +Stork winning game 5 vs Fantasy despite the "Stork face".
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague No idea, maybe Bisu will make it? It'd be cool.
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork. No competition.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Tester (P) was completely underwhelming.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy, with his crazy, to-be-copied-and-failed-at TvZ build.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong. Where did he get eliminated again? The "best" pro-gamer around should at least be making an appearance at the OSL.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Thezerg.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma.
Game of the Tournament
Best v Midas Game 1, when Best came back from a significant deficit with some excellent speedlot flanks on Chupung Ryeong.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash v GGPlay Game 3. How. The. Hell. He. Lost.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Stork. The new king has arrived.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork, for embracing the inevitable.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player N/A - I didn't watch enough of the prelims to vote fairly.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Stork's timing goon push against Best, and Fantasy's vulture drop against Stork. Both great examples of how complacency can lead to getting pwned. If I had to pick one, it would be the former.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Fantasy. He has solid mechanics, but still lacks a lot of the punch that makes a player go far. The vulture drop build was unlike him, but if he continues to innovate like that, he could come back to make an impression.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa. So many options, so little time. Produced some excellent games.
Game of the Tournament Stork vs Fantasy Game 2 - DT harass clinic, nay, hospital. One sided, but still awesome to watch.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Stork vs Best, when Stork did that fantastic goon push while Best was going reavers. Beautiful example of how flair > mechanics.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Stork. In game 5 today, he overcame whatever mental barrier he had, and is gonna go places now. Excellent macro, mind boggling micro, and above all, guts. His PvZ needs a little polishing, but he's by far one of the most consistent players on the scene today.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament
Stork 3-0'ng a group consisting of the other finalist, beating long time rival Bisu, proving himself to be the #1 PvP, all-killing SKT, and going 13-4 in the OSL as well as winning it. Is there any other player who deserves this award?
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player As much as I hate to admit it Rock being 0-3'd in his group with choker Light, and ZvP "master" GGPlay doesnt look so good. Backho also went 0-3 but lost to Sea[shield] and the 2 finalists of this OSL.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award As samachking had stated, Much deserves this award for a 1 base carrier build against Bisu (even though he lost, its not every day you see a 1 base carrier) and a nice wall in canon rush against July.
As a side note, I dont think fantasy can be given the creativity award for his mech play against GGPlay as Ma Jae Yoon himself said it was a build that had been used before therefore fantasy cant really be called creative for using it.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award
Jaedong lol. One of the favorites to win the OSL but didnt even pass offline qualifiers...
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award This is a tough one between by.fantasy and GGPlay as i doubt either of them will make it far next season. Since GGPlay appeared in OSL finals before (and won), I'll go with by.fantasy
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award My favorite map this season would be Return of the King, but I think Medusa produced more entertaining games.
Game of the Tournament From the very few games I've seen, I'll pick out Stork vs BackHo on Return of the King. Really nice comeback from Stork IMO and pretty good reaver harass by Backho (not as good as Stork's in his games against Best, but those were rape reavers)
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award
GGPlay beating Flash on Plasma. I didnt see the match but from the live reports this is what I got: + Show Spoiler +OMG FLASH CHEESE GGPLAY 12 HATCH THIS IS OVER FLASH KILLS HATCH GGPLAY WILL GG ANY MOMENT NOW GGPLAY HOLDING ON TO DEAR LIFE FLASH GOING MECH. NO CHANCE FOR GGPLAY GGPLAY RUN LINGS BY GG PLAY WINS
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague
Nal_Rock. You heard it here first. With that many OSL appearances, chances are hes going to win one sooner or later...

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork ez
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock ez
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award fantasy ez
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Midas... second and third would be thezerg and backho
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award GGPlay
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma
Game of the Tournament Stork vs fantasy Game 5. not only was Stork able to overcome his nerves, he showed some crazy PvT skills, and at the same time, fantasy was almost able to come back with his cute vulture raids
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Stork gets a gold :D
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague thezerg
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Fantasy
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong - It just sucks having GGPlay be the last hope for zerg in the round of 8.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award GGPlay
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa - Fuck plasma
Game of the Tournament Game 2 Fantasy vs GGPlay
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Game 3 Flash/GGPlay - How...
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Effort - Just like oov's protege was in this final, savior is coaching this kid to the top, until savior rapes him in the finals.
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork - He finally won gold, showed us some entertaining games, and probably broke his "finalphobia."
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock - SUP GUYZ I WENT 0-3 IN MY GROUP (and I'm not as cool as Backho)
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Stork - His PvP series vs. Best was simply inspiring. He predicted the correct build in game 2 and countered it, did awesome speed shuttle timing attacks on games 2 & 3, and did a double proxy gate inside his opponents main.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong - The Jaedong? Eliminated in the preliminaries? WHAT?
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Fantasy - I don't see him coming back to the Semis anytime soon.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Chupung-Ryeong - Macro games as well as cheese games are extremely fun to watch on this map. In particular, the "backdoor" on the nat also created some insane situations.
Game of the Tournament Fantasy vs. Nada, Game 2 - The most ridiculous late-game TvT I have ever seen.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Stork VS. Best Semifinals, Game 4 - Stork looked like he was going for a manner pylon, but instead he did a double proxy gate INSIDE HIS OPPONENT'S MAIN. That takes BALLS.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Zero - GGPlay is back on Woongjin, and is hopefully giving this guy some proper zerg training.
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork, no more monkey on his back.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player I GUESS this has to be Rock, but there was some really uninspired play in the early stages of the OSL.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much, and this isn't even close in my opinion. Much had the most entertaining and creative games of this OSL by far. The fantasy build is less amazing than people think imo, but Much was straight up fun to watch.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong wasn't even in the tournament, but July was almost a non-factor in another perfect group for him. Disappointing.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award The fantasy build.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma by far, it's a bit quirky and maybe a bit imba, but it produced some exciting/different games instead of 200/200 macrofests.
Game of the Tournament 5set of the finals, of course!
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Game 3 Flash/GGPlay, unbelievable.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Stork!
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Violet
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much <3
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong obviously
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Fantasy dont think he has what it takes to play consistently at the top
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa, some interesting games
Game of the Tournament Stork vs Bisu game 3
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Storks proxygates in Bests main
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Much , yeah u heard it here first
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork- He played well this tournament and finally won one.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player None. I cant think of anyone
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy with his mech play , plasma build, and anti-reaver micro
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Kal lost to effort 2-0. He is much better then that He's doing in well in MSL, but getting kicked out here so early sucked
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award I think GGPlay won't be coming back.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa-
Game of the Tournament Game 3 Stork vs Bisu- Tense
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Stork > Best 3-1 - 80% loosing a bo5...
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Fantasy easy- Showed strength in all three mu
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament: Stork. Stork sucks. But he won.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player: Rock
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy. If GGplay made it to the finals, Stork probably would have gotten second. Fantasy was able to irk a win out of GGplay in a series for a legit spot in the finals.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Flash. If we're allowed to dig into the prelims, Jaedong.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award: Stork. Hopefully the OSL curse will make it so we don't have to see anymore of him.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa
Game of the Tournament: GGplay versus Fantasy, Game 3. Sick, sick mirco.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Stork versus Best @ Plasma. Seriously, it was in plain sight and everything.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague: I don't know, but an SKT1 player will get second.

Even more surprising, I'm wondering why many people keep Backho as the worst player rather than Rock I mean, Backho lost 0-3 to Sea, Stork, and Fantasy. I wonder how much you must suck to lose to those 3 eh?

why is that such a lol? because stork won the tournament? Why not just call it, "The player who won the OSL award"
Before this osl started, if u had to chose to bet on either fantasy to come second, or stork to win, what do u think people whould have said?
And fantasy did good in all MU, stork did not face any real zergzzzz..

The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament stork
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Stork (he changed his style / builds so much throughout this entire tournament. Yes he didn't do anything truly revolutionary but for someone that was held as a really boring / 1 build per map type of player. He truly shined and it made for really entertaining games / he won because of it.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award no 1. really tough / solid OSL.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Autumn Wind
Game of the Tournament Stork vs Fantasy Game 5. How can the 1 game that decides the entire tournament not be the Game of the Tournament.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Fantasy coming back 2-0 after being down 2-0 to Stork. I thought it was completely over at that point.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Depends on the maps. I would go with Jaedong but he doesn't get seeding. So I will go with Stork.
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament
Stork duh
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player
BackHo
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award
Jaedong if you mean person who didn't make it into the Ro16, if you mean person who DID make it in, than definantly Sea
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award
BackHo
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa no doubt.
Game of the Tournament July vs Bisu on Chupung-Ryeong
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award The last 2 minutes of GGPlay vs Flash on Plasma.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague I'm tied up between Jaedong Stork or best... Best I guess.
|
Where can we find the results from the last OSL's awards?
|
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Stork for the Chojja award considering he failed to meet everyone's expectations of coming second.
|
Lol Backho<Rock? Did you guys even see the games?
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament
Stork, undisputed. You have to hate him to debate this imho.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player
Rock.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award
Fantasy.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award
Jaedong.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award
Thezerg.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award
Plasma.
Game of the Tournament
Bisu vs Stork game 3
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award
Flash vs GGplay game 3 minedrag self rape. Honorable mention to Stork's unearthly Dark Templar micro vs Fantasy in game 2(?). I mean seriously, what the hell was that, the minedrag and destruction with the dropship and then at the supply depot again....it was terrific.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague
Stork. Bonjwa time.

This. its a voting award for a reason. For a kid who played less then 40 games prior to entering the OSL, I have to hand it to him. I think Stork was the expected winner regardless, so let people vote.
You could laugh at all the people calling Fantasy 'the one hit wonder' too but you aren't, so I'm assuming some bias.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork (Runner-up - Fantasy) (We can now officially say that Stork is on top of the world, and we can only wonder if he'll stay there... After all, it's not like we can make a prediction based on his history.)
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock (Runner-up - Backho) (eventhoughI<3BackHo) =(
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy (Runner-up - Much)
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong (Runners-up - July/Flash) (Oh Jaedong, I thought you were invincible?..)
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Fantasy (Runner-up - TheZerg) (Fantasy is amazingly talented, and made it to the finals using some innovating techniques combined with some incredible play, but I really just can't see him repeating that feat.)
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma
Game of the Tournament Stork vs. Fantasy OSL final game 2 (It wasn't that it was a close game, or even a unique game, but rarely do you see play that flawless. Stork had every aspect of that game on absolute lockdown.)
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash vs. GGPlay game 3 (You could see it in Flash's eyes - It seemed so surreal. It was as if didn't come to reality for him, or anyone else, that he had actually fallen until he typed 'gg' that final time.)
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague BeSt (He's come so close. He has the talent. He has the potential. He deserves it. His time has come.

And fantasy did good in all MU, stork did not face any real zergzzzz.. lol the "stork didn't face any REAL zergs" is making me laugh. Stork can beat any zerg right now besides Jaedong, including GGPlay. Stork would have a legitimate 50-50 shot verses Jaedong anyway, because he's incredibly hot right now while JD isn't. So stop pulling that nonsense out of your ass. Many former starleague winners also had the luck of avoiding their weakest matchup, at least to a certain degree. You need to get a little more creative on how to belittle Stork's achievement bud.
And yes it's such a lol because I don't see how you can argue Stork wasn't "the highest achiever" in the Starleague, basically meaning the winner. It could indeed just be called the player who won the OSL award. Why are you even asking that question of fantasy coming in second or stork winning it? This isn't about the surprise factor, it's about who did the best. Stork beat the long time curse and jinx of the silver medal, and beat the toughest opponents on the way.
I am not trying to make you vote for Stork or give you shit for not doing so because I know he will win it anyways, but it ticks me off that you are taking away from what he achieved.

Plasma for "Bifrost" map: it may have balance issues, but it produced a nice variety of interesting strats.
TheZerg is my dark-horse candidate for next OSL winner.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Close call between BackHo and Rock, but I'll go with BackHo.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Another close call between Much and Fantasy..I'll give it to Fantasy.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Luxury
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award I don't think GGPlay will do nearly as well as this OSL.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa!
Game of the Tournament Stork vs Bisu Game 3 or Stork vs Fantasy Game 5. Hmm I think Stork vs Bisu was better because of its unreal intensity.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash vs GGPlay Game 3 on Plasma. I was literally saying wtf while watching that game..
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Oh man there are so many contenders. Stork, BeSt, Jaedong.. Stork, though.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork. No questions here, he finally got the job done.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much. All protoss picks so far, but Much gets my vote for his creative play throughout the Ro16. One bases carriers, using Medusa's cliff to proxy July, you name it.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award July. It was is own undoing by creating his Group of Death, and he failed to follow up a championship performance as he couldn't even escape the Ro16.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Thezerg.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma. Despite it's shortcomings in the balance department Plasma was the one map that continued to churn out interesting and entertaining games week in and week out.
Game of the Tournament Stork/fantasy game 5 was most exciting. OSL finals game 5. It's been too long since we've had one.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award GGPlay/Flash game 3 when the game turned around in the span of 15 seconds.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Stork. Now that he's over the hump and has his first gold, I think he can make another title run.

Is it bad to think the game of the tournament might be game 4 of the finals? I mean I know 5 was the end all be all, but I don't think I was grabbing my monitor as much in 5 as I was in 4 :3

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork keeps getting picked for this award, for good reason. He made his way through Best, Bisu, and Fantasy, only losing 4 games in the process of making it through the entire OSL. He broke Best's PvP streak, beat Bisu who seemed like he had stork's number after the finals in the 2007 MSL, and beat the royal roader, Fantasy, without choking like he's famous for. He beat his demons, and can now be considered the best PvP player on the face of the planet, the best PvT player on the planet, and if not the best PvZ player on the planet, he's at least top 3 (even if he didn't play any during the OSL, he played outside of the tournament and won) Who it's not: Fantasy. He did well to get where he did, and if he had won he would be eligible for this award. However, after rolling GGplay with his mech build, and stunning everyone by pulling himself up with his shoelaces in the finals, he just didn't have what it took to compete with stork, who managed to shed the title of Chokemaster.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock Rock Rock. What are you doing. After watching you go 0-3 in your group, I don't think that you have what it takes to get much further than just barely out of your group. Who it's not: Backho, who also went 0-3 in his group. It's not him because both Fantasy and Stork came from his group.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much needs to get this award. He's shown some awesome play on some of these maps. 1 Base Carrier on Plasma? *check* Cannon Rush on Medusa *check* He might not have won, and the strategies have been around for a while, but the execution and the style is what makes Much one of the most exciting progamers to watch.
Who it's not (but could be): Fantasy: his mech build against ggplay was insane, and inspired a bunch of other progamers to try to copy the exactly same strategy (who haven't had as much success). Fantasy showed good planning, and Brilliant execution.
Fantasy: game 4 against Stork in the finals on Plasma. Watching the path the dropship took, as well as the scouting information that his scv got leading to his 4 vult drop with everything planned out was stunning. He had the exact build, pathing, and timing mapped out in his mind, and it showed. If you're only going to watch one game from fantasy that convinces you that he's the second coming of boxer, watch this one.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong: you're the best zerg on the face of the planet. And you didn't qualify. What happened? Who it's not: Flash: The ultimate weapon on a T weighted map. And what happens? You lose?... July: The osl Curse gets you a break on this award. Lucky you. Oh, and you qualified.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award TheZerg. We're just not going to get to see him again. He did fairly well to get to where he did, but then he just got stomped by Midias on Plasma. He managed to get through because he was better prepared than his opponents; I don’t feel that he actually played better than his opponents.
Who it's not: Stork cannot be a one hit wonder- He's consistently made it to finals, he can't even be in contention. Fantasy cannot get it either, as he has both oov and boxer coming to his team, and many other players have done worse than he did when they first made it into the osl. If you think fantasy is going to be a one hit wonder, what on earth can you think about TheZerg. Midias has shown that he's not a one hit wonder, as he has managed to innovate, and play the game at the highest levels for quite some time.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma- On this map, we got to see everything from a 1 base carrier to 3 nexus and everything in between from protoss, everything from 3 hatch to 1 base tech from zerg, and everything from 14 cc to 2 machine shop 4 vult drop from T. With that wide of a variation, it can only mean one thing: no one had any idea of how to play this map, which generated some really exciting games.
What it's not: Medusa. The map generated some cheesy games, some good games, some exciting games, and it ended up being more balanced than Plasma. However, It doesn't deserve the award, just because in the end It turned out to be a more standard macro map with the destroyable backdoor providing another twist. Game of the Tournament Stork Vs. Fantasy, game 5: this game was amazing. The play wasn’t transcendent, like it was for stork in games 1 and 2, or fantasy in games 3 and for. However, at the start of the game, we were looking at a 2-2 tied series in the OSL Finals, with the master of choke looking at yet another second place, and the royal roader on a high after he had managed to get himself into the OSL finals. The Hype, the drama, the history, all came together to set the stage for either The Royal Roader to earn his way to the top, or for the Choker to break his streak, and show the world what he was made of. Game five was the kind of setup that fans dream of, and that’s what we got. The only thing that would make it better would have been unbelievable play from both sides. Instead, we merely got top level play from both players. Runner up game of the tournament: Fantasy v stork, game 3: Fantasy showed us why he belonged in the series with this game. If he had gotten overrun in a 3-0 series, everyone would be talking about how dominant stork looked, how in control he had the series, how much he must have practiced. Instead, we get fantasy showing us how to micro, how to macro, how to make stork panic. Exactly what we would expect from oov, from boxer, and now, what we got to see from fantasy.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash vs. GGPlay game 3, plasma: GGplay managed to turn this game around like it was nothing. Flash looked like he had it in the bag, and then ggplay manages to steal the win away from flash. Amazing. If you haven’t seen it, watch it. The ultimate weapon got beaten, and didn’t believe it. Not quite: Best vs stork, Plasma- This game was really really good play from both sides. The fact that stork didn’t manage to get a manner pylon down until best wasn’t paying attention, the fact that best was able to fight it off, the fact that it was a deciding game. Stork showed how he was better than best in that game, and played his strengths to an epic deciding win. The gg that game, and that series, was well deserved.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague I’m going to say Best. He’s so close to upping his game just one level. He has micro, he has macro, and he can be downright scary dominant when he’s in the groove. He needs to make sure he doesn’t become another also ran, someone who we forget in a few seasons as someone who “never made it”. There are plenty of runner up’s for this award though.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy - Watching game 4 of the OSL finals, I was pretty sure that Boxer himself had swapped places in the booth with Fantasy. Oh ya, and I guess his mech build was pretty cool. ^_^
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award TheZerg. - Probably because he'll realize his nick is kinda goofy and change it, voila, no more TheZerg in an OSL.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma - Plasma to me is the map the players hate to play, but one people love to watch.
Game of the Tournament Stork Vs. Fantasy, game 4 - It showed that Fantasy had practiced for this map immensely, and while not as emotional as game 5 obviously, game 4 style some old down and dirty Starcraft, and boy was it fun to watch.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash vs. GGPlay game 3
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Best (Though if Fantasy can figure out how to diversify his army by the next OSL, I fear for everyone else)

I don't think he did say that; you said first that you were laughing at those who voted for Fantasy for that award. Voting is just that - an opiniated voice. While no one who is voting for Fantasy (maybe some jerks) are saying that Stork didn't deserve it, rather they are voicing respect for Fantasy for being able to stand up to a veteran, 'choker' or not - he did well.

Well, uhm, I don't consider winning 1 game in group stage a "wonder", so TheZerg couldn't even be a candidate for The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award IMO. I agree.
I thought the Garimto award was for the most unexpectedly good finish. So in that sense, it's to be expected for Fantasy to get a few votes. And I think normally, I wouldn't think someone of Stork's calibur winning the gold to be that big of a deal. But given Stork's history, even if he is the best SC player on the planet, him winning a finals is still considered monumental.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork. No contest.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock. Backho was terrible as well but at least he gave Storky a run for his money in the group stages.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much. Every game he played this tournament (save perhaps the tiebreaker) was a pure pleasure to watch.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Luxury. I mean, come on, no Ps in the group, he should have advanced with ease.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Thezerg. Unfortunately. I really enjoyed his take on ZvT this tournament.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa. All the best games of this tournament were played on this map.
Game of the Tournament Fifth set of the grand finals. What a closer!
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Third set between Flash and GGplay. WTF!

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Fantasy I'm not hating on Stork here, Stork deserved to win the OSL but Fantasy deserves this award for overall play.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player July Sorry Tunshin lovers, July had his short comenback but now it's over.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy Obvious choice.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Flash What happen? Somebody set us up the bomb?
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award GGPlay His fate is the same as July's, except that GGPlay couldn't even win.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa Close contender to Plasma but while Plasma had many interesting games this map had the best games.
Game of the Tournament Fantasy vs GGPlay series Both the semifinals and the finals were top notch entertainment but this is the only one where the player I wanted to win won.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Stork winning Stork winning vs BeSt was a major WTF and don't even get me started on Stork winning gold.

Stork made more or less an Skt1 all-kill. If this doesn't warrant the garimto award i dont know what does.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork Finally broke his jinx and proved he's able to win finals. Also had an impressive 3-0 in the groups, and took out SKTelecoms 3 best players in BO 3/5
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock. No explanation needed here, hes just not in the same calibre as the rest of these player except BackHo perhaps.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award iloveoov(fantasy). Came up with a cookie cutter BO with many interesting unit choices and got fantasy to execute them excellent.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Flash. Once again lost an important series against GGPlay in an OSL, and lost his second consecutive OSL quarterfinal against a Zerg - The Sea-syndrome rubbing over on Flash ?
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Fantasy. I still consider fantasy Canata.v2 with better nerves. His wins against GGPlay were metal-wins, and his bionic play looked shaky. Also didnt play convincingly in the final, more Storks bo/micro-mistakes sealing his fate in the games he won. Excellent TvT play though.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa. This map provided some excellent matches with the interesting backdoor opening. Flash vs GGPlay, fantasy vs GGPlay, Stork vs Bisu, all great games.
Game of the Tournament Game 5 the grand final - the intensity here was outstanding, especially due to fantasys hidden oov-expand, and vultures dealing critical damage at Storks top left expand. Clutch storming in the end by Stork.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Bisu vs Stork game 3, both players start long distance mining because they are afraid of investing money in a nexus. You dont see this often. The 2nd best game in the tournament imo.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Bisu, after he wins his 3rd MSL.
If Bisu doesnt win his 3rd MSL, Flash will win it.
Other candidate considered for Sync award - BeSt , time to start slumping PuSan-style

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament I believe Fantasy should take the award. He was so close yet so far from becoming a royal roader. That and I completely despise of Stork.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Bifrost, good way to go out in fashion by failing to someone like Rock.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Fantasy's mech against GGPlay.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Lee Jaedong, most dominative player eliminated by some Protoss in the offliners?
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Thezerg, although hyped as the next 'Big Zerg' by some people, his ZvZ and ZvP haven't yet given him justice.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa for all the cheeses.
Game of the Tournament Stork vs Bisu Game 3 threw me off my seat.

TheZerg did better than Jaedong by making it to the group stages, which was pretty good. Everyone noticed him, whereas almost no one knew who he was before.
The difference in opinion stands on fantasy. I can understand where people are coming from when they think that fantasy isn't going to do very well in the next OSL- However, plenty of good players did far worse than he did in their first OSL. Fantasy showed off some solid TvZ against GGplay, even if he didn't react correctly, and he showed off some good, planned out TvP in the finals against stork. His game 4 was the best of the best in terms of planning and execution, his game 3 showed off his micro during a pressured moment (facing elimination, tanks vs reaver in game 3 of the finals. The micro doesn't get any more important than that.).

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork-simply on one hell of a tear, taking down s class toss's left and right
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Violet, that was a joke
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much, he came to put on a show, and did some pretty inventive things to do it, cannon rush being my favorite.
i would give it to fantasy but he didn't come up with his build on the spot
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award jaedong
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award thezeg
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award plasma

I remember seeing the preliminaries live, but I can only partially recall the Jaedong vs. han games. Think Jaedong vs. free[gm] (in the MSL), but add storm blankets to it.
It's a shame han didn't make it any farther.
And I really can't wait to see who wins these "awards" .

I cant believe that people are atcully saying that Flash although he made it to the round of 8 deserves the "chojja" award, when Jaedong got rolled in the offlines by han, i mean come on, the best in the world got done in offlines?
|
Holy crap, Scaramanga just said Jaedong is the best in the world, take a picture! (kidding) Yeah, I guess how you interpret the award, though I am still confused how people think BackHo did worse than Rock. I mean Backho lost against Fantasy, Stork and Sea while Rock lost to Light, GGplay and Best. Ok, Best is awesome, but BackHo played 3 awesome players, and he almost won against Stork. Come on, how do you argue this one?

This is about people who played in the OSL hence he isnt mentioned as he didnt qualify for it. And Id also like to add that only the top 16 players should be considered, since the earlier round is kind of an old dual tournament. In my opinion the OSL doesnt really start after the group selection.

The 'Garimto' Award - Stork The 'Mumyung' Award - Light The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award - Much The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award - Jaedong The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award - Fantasy The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award - Medusa Game of the Tournament - Hard to call. The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament To the player TeamLiquid.net believes was the overall highest achiever in this Incruit 2008 OSL. The contenders should be obvious.
Stork is the obvious choice. Overall winner, SKT1 all kill, and by far the most importantly, he shred all the disbelief in his finals abilities by winning a game 5 that he came into with the Stork face. What more can you want?
The oov/Fantasy duo is obviously the runner up.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Who deserved to have been consigned to the rubbish heap during the first round of the OSL?
Tie between Rock and Backho. The question of who deserves it more should be decided by whose abnormally low intelligence level is lower. Which is worse, caveman i-must-go-carriers brain or Backho's negative common sense level? But careful, their parents might complain!
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Go with your gut feeling. Which player showed the greatest creativity or brightened the tournament with his flair and inspiration?
The only possible answer for this is iloveoov. It's not every starleague or even year that a revolutionary change in a stable matchup is brought about. The last real major TvZ shift, outside of small optimization changes like 2 rax cc into 1 rax cc, was all the way back when Boxer triple bunker rushed Yellow in Ever '04.
And it's blatantly obvious that it was oov's build, and not Fantasy. This is probably the first time a player not in the tournament deserves this award.
People are dismissing the mech build with horrible reasons like "GGplay forgot how to play vs mech" or some garbage after he decisively owned Flash with a great anti-mech counter on Medusa the round before. Face it, oov's build is far different than any mech that has been used before and is not a one-time strat by any means.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Which 'name' failed to live up to his billing and left himself with something to prove?
Jaedong and Flash/Midas deserve it; JD more than the ohters but he didn't even make the league, so maybe not. Jaedong for not making the tournament in the first place for losing in a matchup he has a 74% winrate since owning Stork in Ever '07 to some nobody. No matter how well that guy played, this is JAEDONG.
Flash for doing a terrible build on Medusa and not advancing to the semis, regardless of luck he should not have lost that game.
Midas also was very disappointing, for someone who used to be so strong he just didn't look good at all vs Best, even if Best has a nice PvT.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Which player has had his moment in the sun will be making a short appearance next OSL?
There really are a lot imo.
STORK. After playing the best he's ever done and not facing an amazing player at their very peak in the finals, Stork has finally won. He's obviously going to get afflicted by the OSL curse, and considering how much he's went through to get this it's highly likely he will get knocked out in group stages as everything is finally released for him.
GGplay. Although he did beat Flash very nicely on Medusa and played well in the game he won vs Fantasy, he did lose to Best He's just too streaky of a player overall and it's quite unlikely he will be back in force again for awhile.
Other call is Midas. Since losing to Best he suddenly doesn't play in proleague much and has become very forgettable. What happened to his comeback?
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Which map inspired the most brilliant and entertaining games of the tournament?
Plasma, easily. I wish people would stop complaining about map imbalance so much, considering it's almost always the imbalanced maps that produce the best games. Plasma is no exception to this, with the WTF Flash GGplay game 3, Stork's proxies, the Fantasy vulture hop, and 1 base carriers from Much among others. I sincerely hope it gets another shot, because 1 season is too little to discern balance since 815 or Arcadia turnarounds are always possible.
Game of the Tournament
Which individual game was the most exciting or entertaining of the tournament? Or which game showed the highest skill?
blank till I watch the rest of the finals games.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Which single moment rocked the tournament more than any other?
No question, Flash losing to GGplay in game 3 because of a minedrag on a desperate 'i lost' attack.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague To the player TeamLiquid.net believes will triumph next time out.
Flash or Jaedong. Stork will not break the
I don't know why people would vote for Best on this one. If he faces 1 non-luxury (choker) zerg in the elim rounds he's automatically out. It's like with Casy. You can't call him until you see the brackets.

There is nothing that says the player has to have played in the osl, it just says the player who failed to live up to his name, thats clearly JD
EDIT: The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Which 'name' failed to live up to his billing and left himself with something to prove?
May i ask where it says they have to have played in osl?

It doesnt, but it pretty much goes without saying as this is the "OSL awards", and not "progamers trying to qualify for OSL awards".
But go ahead and vote Jaedong, just dont be surprised why more people arent doing the same.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork. He raped the tournament. EZ!
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player BackHo. Not only did he lose all of his games in convincing fashion, but we also kind of expected him to perform at least better than what he pulled off.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much. Fantasy did a mech build and Day wrote an article about it. Get over it
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Jaedong.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award Fantasy. I have a gut feeling that he won't get any further than barely out of his group
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa. Good macro map which also rewards aggressive and creative play + cute rushes.
Game of the Tournament Stork vs Bisu game 3
Which individual game was the most exciting or entertaining of the tournament? Or which game showed the highest skill?
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Stork using his probes to kill Fantasy in game 1 of the finals. That move ruled!
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague BeSt. Gotta win sooner or later!

The "Chojja" Missing in Action Award:
Flash

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork ftw. Look at his achievement list. There are full of silvers and that's why I call him "the most modest gamer in history". He always let his opponent take the final result although he's really good. But in this OSL, finally, he could make it, he could break through his limit.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock *sigh*
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Bisu . I still remember the time when he was dominating in every tournaments like MSL, OSL but now, look at him Hope to see him get back soon
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award No idea ;P
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Medusa
Game of the Tournament Free vs Jaedong @ last game @ MSL
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award As I mentioned above, that was free vs Jaaedong. It reminded me of an epic match between Nal_rA and sAviOr @ MSL pringle. So many Archon that I could not count.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Bisu. I really miss him

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Much for sure his play was awsome
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award sea
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award fantasy
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award medusa
Game of the Tournament bisu vs flash on medusa
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award flash lost to ggplay on plasma
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague FBH :/

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Tournament Stork - Strongest player all round, knocked out the world's best PvP player (arguable), 3-0'd his group which included strong players. Beat bisu in a close bo3. No brainer IMO.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Rock - Why won't you stop qualifying for leagues.... He knocked han out, who looked really promising as well.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Tied Much and Fantasy. Much's innovation was awesome, he did everything and anything, and although he didn't make it out of groups, his games were amazing to watch. Fantasy's mech build vs GGplay (his execution is the unique part) and his game 4 vs Stork were brilliant.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award Tied July and Flash. July, the reigning OSL champ, can't make it out of a group with 2 Tosses. Flash 3-0's the same group of death, then has a rush of blood to lose to GGplay in the biggest WTF moment I have ever witnessed.
The 'Sync' One Hit Wonder Award GGplay, he won't be coming back.
The 'Bifrost' Map of the Tournament Award Plasma + Medusa, insane games in general.
Game of the Tournament Bisu vs. Stork game 3, Stork vs. Fantasy games 4 and 5.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Tournament Award Flash's last minute brain explosion vs GGplay for sure. Cost him an already won series.
Player Most Likely to Win the Next Starleague Stork or BeSt.

i don't know why you guys think a cannon rush and 1 base carrier on what is essentially an island map is inspirational or creative
i mean i love much and i think he played great during OSL but you can't compare that shit at all to the immense preparation, the mindgame, and the flawless execution of fantasy's build against ggplay. especially not using the build in game 1, and using it a second time in game 4
much's builds were entertaining and he played well, but they are nothing new, a hundred other protoss players have done both of those things. fantasy's method of beating a zerg he was completely outclassed by is much more inspirational and i'm very surprised anyone would think otherwise
and jesus didnt anyone see games 3 and 4 of the final? the savage beatdown fantasy gave the best protoss in the world?

What was inspirational and creative in game 3 i just recall Stork loseing to much reavers and missing a pylon ? Game 4 was ok . Much's builds were fun and creative because the maps were played for the first time and he first saw a chance for innovation i don't know about inspiration . Fantasy's build did inspired a big number of people in TL and a lot of half - assed mech builds on iccup thought .

Another wtf moment would be stork winning the OSL..
It just saddens me because he didn't face any single zerg. Oh well, he still won the OSL and that's the bottom line.

if you think the magnitude of fantasy's play can be measured by how many D+ newbies copy his build on iccup, i don't know what to tell you cuz anything i say will go over your head
