Okay, I just found out today that Starcraft made it back into our school's LAN list after being bumped out by more popular games a couple years ago.
I would love to play and represent TL, but I am sorely out of shape due to not playing for a while now. I would like to get in some practice games before it starts on Sept. 27, but my old cracked out system that I used to get online with seems to not work anymore with the new patches.
I feel as if I would have a very good chance at taking #1 if I only could play a bit before and knock off some of this rust.
I know it's frowned upon, but does anyone have a way to where I could do this short of buying another CD? (I have less than no cash right now) I still have like 3 cd keys from previous purchases, so that won't be a problem.
Thanks guys.

You can download a copy of starcraft and broodwar from the store.blizzard.com website.

If you have the cdkeys then go to the blizzard store(google it =p), make an account(free) and then just enter one of the cdkeys in for pre-existing games. You'll be able to download SC and SC:BW anytime you want onto your computer. (Kinda like Steam).

I doubt you need practice to beat a bunch of school LAN kids. The fact that you even know what a 9pool is is enough to warrant 1st place.

They don't have the install.exe file on the iccup site anymore. I think blizzard asked them to take it down

this is very true, I was playing against some ppl in my dorm recently and one of them went for the uncommon "creep colony" opening

That'll come in handy later on.

Once I played a kid who went 7 ovie 9 ovie 11 ovie Dead.
Another time I obsed a game where the kid sent 2 drones to minerals, one to make an extractor with his first 50 mins, and the fourth o a random spot on the creep in anticipation to make his pool.

Lol, thanks guys for the answers and support.
Equinox_kr: I would love to practicing with you, but just remember I havn't played in a long long time and I was never better than c+ at my prime, haha. That being said, though, if you dont mind helping a scrub like myself then I gladly accept your offer.
Just for shits and giggles, I actually have replays from the finals the last time SC was at the LAN. It is myself vs a swell guy by the name of Chupathingy.
