As you can guess, these audio solutions are intended to be temporary. I want to buy a unit that does the following:
1) Accept red/white rca cable audio (two sets would probably be preferable to one)
2) Either accept 1/8 inch ministereo or I can just buy a Y adapter to plug into the rca input
3) Accept digital audio (I don't have any devices that use this yet but I believe I should have it for when I purchase future items)
4) Either come with speakers or be cheap enough that I can buy relatively inexpensive speakers and attach them (in which case I could use speaker suggestions)
The unit does not need to do the following:
a) play cds
b) play dvds
c) play radio
The speakers do not need to be that impressive since nobody here is an audio buff, and I don't want to shake the whole house. I'd like the system to be as small as possible while still delivering reasonable quality. Judging from what this device does, I should be able to get one for well under 100 dollars, but I'm having trouble finding an item that only does audio.
I'm willing to purchase from any reputable website, and I have easy access to Best Buy, Circuit City, Radio Shack, and some other relevant brick and mortar stores. Does anyone have any suggestions? Am I even able to get a device that only does audio?
