Taking a temporary break from writing on tl.net

Hello,

I am currently writing my thesis in computer science / AI as I am in my last year (I finally kept on going with it, for those that read my last blog).

I think that my work / thesis lacks creativity at the moment, therefore I stepped down from doing the mundane things like writing code / experiments for a few days, to take a look at the broader picture.

To do so, I have to let my mind do his own thing by listening to music and walking in my apartment at random hours: I feel very tired, and can’t focus on writing sc2 articles at the moment (ESL open cups, GSL previews… wanted to do a piece on Maru and Clem for their incredible achievements, but I guess I will have to postpone it…)

For those that enjoy the pieces, I am sorry, but I don’t have the energy at the moment. I think the process I am doing is working: I have new clues about the work I have done in these last three years, and better ideas for introduction and conclusion chapters of my thesis.
I hope to come back soon, in the meantime, enjoy the wonderful StarCraft 2 we have in the foreign scene and KR scene, ig is awesome.

@BisuDagger: that's very nice of you, I think I have found what I was looking for and now need to "exploit" it since the exploration phase was successful -> ie. get back to a normal sleep routine etc to be productive. However, I will gladly share you a link to some of the work (I think a paper is still missing on go 0g 1 e sch0l4r) I have done so far in pm, if it tickles your fancy.

Best of luck with the thesis. Best friend got stuck with a similar thing but after taking a step back nailed it. Quite interested in reading it as it’s (kind of) the field I’m transitioning to, feel free to PM

Look forward to reading some fine Poopi TL content whenever you’re able to fit that in!

The insight about your friend is pretty interesting too.
I can shoot you a pm with the work I have published so far (although one still is not up on my Google scholar profile and it’s my advisor that is carrying these sort of tasks since he knows how to do them properly and quickly), but for the thesis you gotta have to wait until it’s public I am afraid

Yeah I have a lot of ideas about StarCraft content but I will probably have the time to do it come 2023, which will be particularly convenient since Katowice will be around the corner

About my progress, I have a meeting tomorrow morning with the « council » (sorry too lazy to look up for the correct term while on my phone, as those devices are not great for multitasking) so they will help me out tremendously with how to « finish » it. I am looking forward to it a lot, but I still haven’t done the PowerPoint yet to make it more digest for them.
