Dear LiquidLegends community,
My first introduction to TL.net came through the LiquidLegends site. I had never played Starcraft nor really dabbled in Blizzard games before, but in 2015, with my passion for League of Legends at its peak, I yearned for a place to discuss League of Legends beyond the superficial, super-current topical style of the LoL subreddit. That landed me on the newly created LiquidLegends.net. I’d heard of Team Liquid the site through friends who were more into the sphere of Blizzard games and it eventually pushed me to apply to become a writer for LiquidLegends.
At first LiquidLegends served as a hub for discussion and a place to meet like-minded people. A lot of connections were made through the forums, chats, and games played together—I know personally that I've made friends for life through the community. The site then became known for detailed, longform content, and served as a launching pad for talented and passionate esports writers. In fact, many of the familiar faces in League esports content got their start on LiquidLegends.net. That’s something we’re proud of as our little part of LoL esports history and we’re happy for all our contributors who moved on to bigger and better things.
Unfortunately, over the past few years, community activity has decreased to a point where League of Legends is sadly no longer big enough to warrant a separate website. That’s why with a heavy heart, I am announcing that as of June 15th, 2022, LiquidLegends.net will cease to be an independent site and will be reintegrated into TL.net.
I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of the writers, graphic designers, editors, moderators and most importantly all of the active community members that made the site such a vibrant place where we could share our love of the game.
