Down 0-2 to Philly and a clear underdog to get out of round 1 Raptors tickets in the lower bowl section 104 and 112 were selling for higher prices than for tonight's Maple Leafs game. Raptors seats ~20th row of sections 104 and 112 were selling for $900. Maple Leaf tickets in that area are ~$600. The Maple Leafs are more favoured to move forward to the 2nd round than the Raptors. Toronto has not been a "hockey town" for a while. Now, Toronto is not even an "NHL town". For historical reference, in 2007, I sat in the 20th row of section 104 for only $66 in game 2 of a Raptors 1st round playoff series. Oh my how times have changed. https://www.ticketmaster.ca/nhl-playoffs-maple-leafs-v-lightning-toronto-ontario-05-04-2022/event/10005C8610C75E24

Nice to see the unheralded, late 2nd rounder, Spencer Dinwiddie kicking ass and taking names. I hope he gets more minutes and more offensive responsibilities in the next playoff round. The Celtics were 11th in the NBA when 538 made their Celtics projection. 538 lookin' like geniuses these days.... the author of the "Derozan's game is playoff proof" ... not so much.

The last few years I'm impressed as hell by 538's NBA projections. They are quite accurate. However, i think their analytics package needs to add in a "Playoff Jimmy Butler" eigenvector.

NBA playoffs ratings are excellent this year. I think the NBA is doing a nice job of drawing in people who are growing bored of baseball. MLB baseball has evolved into something really boring over the past 20 years. https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/baseball-mlb-woke-tv-ratings/2022/05/02/id/1068174/
