If that wikipedia has entries for pple about hmmm, like Professional wresting, then I see no reason why Lim Yo Hwan shouldnt be mentioned considering he's been featured in at least 20 or 30 international news programs about SK progaming over the years and should have sufficient exposure to warrant inclusion.
Btw I seriously thought this was going to be some troll attempt b/c your ID is "closed" and the entry is "deletionism" haha ^^

When I first saw this guy I thought of Locked.
I learned getting involved in wikipedia politics is dumb. If they don't want you to make an article about Boxer, then they are sullying their own site. Screw them.

I just don't understand deletionism. The best reason that I can come up with for the deletion of "non-notable" (by whose standards?) content is so that "good" content is easier to find. However, wikipedia has a very good search engine (google can also be used), which pretty much negates this argument.

It would be inefficient for them to allow everybody in the world to make an article about themselves (and this is symbolic for what people really could do). But the issue is obviously how strict they are.

I assume you're not talking about THE wikipedia, because they've had an entry on Boxer for like 3 years.

They banned me from the local wikipedia
I wonder what 'local' means... some other website's wiki... or THE wikipedia, but in a diff language (hence local)

i alway thought wiki wanted everything and anything possible ; forgoing quality for quantity
Is there anything not listed in wikipedia? Don't teachers always get pissy when u list them as references? :p

IIRC the decision to delete is not a vote. It's just a forum for people to voice their opinion to admins.
The English Wikipedia deletes some 5000 pages a day. A lot of stupid shit gets posted to wikipedia that can clog up searches and reduce the overall quality of the site.
I'm assuming by local you mean the wikipedia for your language. You might want ot point out that the English version has an entry for Lim Yo Hwan.
Also, you kept rebuilding a page after it was deleted. That's like remaking a thread after it's closed, three times. Then you go on #teamliquid and flame the ops. Seriously, what did you expect?

What a "local wikipedia"? Are confusing the concept of a wiki with Wikipedia, a well-known wiki? Two people have already pointed out that the English Wikipedia does have an article on Boxer.

Don't be an idiot. Why would you purposely disrupt an open encyclopedia because they wouldn't include an article you wanted? What do you think you're going to accomplish? And since when is /b/ "your own personal army" (to use one of their own stupid memes)?
