Sen got married back in December of 2020. This is kind of one of those blogs that I wanted to make but never really had time to get to. I didn't think I would be high on his list of people to invite, but as is custom in Taiwan, the more guests you invite, the more red envelopes you can collect. When I saw the Starcraft II: WOL trailer at the age of 17 back in 2007 or so, I had no idea the game would play that big a role in my life. That was my final year of high school. Now here I am at 31 and we see the people we worshipped at one point moving on with their lives and starting families.

Such is life. I don't know if there is anyone here who remembers me, but the financial side of things has come together more than I could have ever imagined in the past few years and maybe it's better that I got out of esports. It took a long time but now I'm in a position to buy a decently-sized mid western American suburban home. I might try to get back in to professional gaming if I have the capital to invest in something like that. Maybe consider something like what TakeTV is doing, but even then I am not 100% gung-ho guaranteed going to do it.

There was a time when I think I was working towards potentially becoming a full time streamer. IRL stuff in downtown Taipei, but one reason I got out was the amount of intrusiveness to my personal life that I was beginning to experience. I think I could pretty easily become a full time streamer if I wanted to, but my goal has always been to obtain a green card in Taiwan first, then try the full-time streamer route. Let's see how that goes.

I also remember Sen from the early days of SC2, back when he streamed during the late beta.. being amazed at his APM and such.
He just turned 34 years old some days ago so obviously he is going to be married at some point!

What I found more interesting after checking out your blog is: who are you? Were you a pro? Did you join the Yoe Flash Wolves in 2013/14?

If you remember a dude streaming starcraft from his family's garage in late 2013/2014 that was me. I joined Flash Wolves in November 2013 when I was in Korea for my final semester of university. I was a bilingual caster. Got to do my first offline event in Taipei 2014, and sen coincidentally took the championship at that event (Taiwan Open 2014):

I'm from USA. I've been in Taiwan since March 2014. In August of this year I should meet the requirements for a Taiwanese green card.

That's a long ass time. That's what you meant with bilingual, so you speak english (duh) and even Mandarin quite well is my guess then. There must be something about Taiwan that lured you in huh.
