I'm using this space to write down some things I've been finding out on single player or wherever. Mostly terran stuff.
1) D-matrix reduces damage to 0.5, not 0. Also an irradiated unit receives way less damage if it has D-matrix.
2) You can create a network game with a name like "whatever #x2" or "asdf #x1.5" and the game speed will be x2 or x1.5 times fastest. Any number seems to work. I've been using x3 to practice build orders quickly.
3) You can have "reserve scanners", just build another scan near the real one and put the CC back in its normal place. Later, if you run out of energy, lift the CC and place it on the other scanner, it will have full energy.
4) The 0 key on the numpad shows the opponent's stats.
5) Ctrl-C and Alt-C center the screen on the unit BUT the real important thing here is that it centers on the first unit, so if you select mutas + ovie, using ctrl-c will be easier to go back to the mutas compared to double tapping the group number.
6) You can find out which vessels have energy by casting irradiate on something far away, only the ones with enough energy will move.

I learned that wonderful tidbit about Irradiate and D Matrix today actually when I accidentally DMatrixed the irradiated ultra instead of my marine QQ

wow 6 sounds like it can be pretty useful

1 (0.5 vs 0 part specifically), 4 and 5 were interesting. 2 and 6 were ones I'm aware of or observed in games many times. 3 honestly is a bit useless in the sense that you typically don't want to keep lifting your cc to change scanners because you lose mining time, but I guess in the case where you have 1 cc and up against a lurker bust, maybe, just maybe it has some use.

Does it scroll through units by using Ctrl-C?
Reserve Scanners is some FlaSh level preperation

Bigfan influences you in a bad way

Nah it just seems to center on the first unit in the group, keeping the entire group selected

For observing:
q - remove minimap. w - remove unit pane. e - remove resource pane. r - remove shortcut pane. alt+y - remove replay bar. alt+z - diplomacy tab.
Playing very random tidbits - mostly entirely useless - You can parasite neutral creeps, so on blue storm you can essentially have a flying observer over the opponents base - If you blind a parasited unit it removes the parasite. - If you spawn broodling on a broodling it generates 2 more after killing 1. - Can parasite your own units. - You can maelstrom zerg eggs and they will pause building (this one could actually be useful) - Maelstrom also affects larva, if you maelstrom larva it can't be selected - I think you can stasis this as well. - Hallucinations can't be feedbacked, but you can maelstrom them out of existance. - Maelstroming a nuking ghost completely cancels the nuke.

I use Number 6 tip to get the queens with energy moving while the empty ones stay in place

1) Interesting, I always thought that D-matrix just gives the unit extra 150ish hp. So if you D-matrix a unit with 1 hp, it's practically useless?
3) This sounds very obvious once you hear it, but I don't know why I've never thought of it or seen any pro-games with it. I guess you rarely need additional 4 scans in the late game.

yeah even an scv will kill it

I dropped my phone on my keyboard yesterday at the beginning of a game and had no idea why my opponent's stats came up. Freaked me out a little bit lol, makes sense now.

Omg I never knew about #5, I will have to try that.
Also anyone know the key in bring up the Message Log (ie. the log of in-game chat) during a multiplayer game? I've had it pop up a couple of times but I'm not sure what key I pressed

I knew about ctrl+c centering the screen on a single unit but didn't know it worked in that way for a group of units, that's actually pretty useful because when you have your sairs with a trapped probe and double tap the hotkey it takes you to the midpoint between them, which isn't where you want to go.

wow... nice for pvp, keep shuttle as 1st unit and alt-c to control shuttle.
thanks

Are you sure that #1 is true? I've seen damage slip past a matrix but I've never noticed it coming through at a consistent rate. I think there is might be more factors.
