Wow. What can I say. I absolutely loved the game. The storyline, the mechanics, etc.. Everything was pretty much top. The whole feeling of the game gave you chills, and fascinate you.
I beat it on easy since it was my first play. I got the good ending of the game, since I'm a softy at heart.
Easily a re playable game.
Anyone else loved it? I know it came out like a year ago, but I barely updated my rig to be able to play it on Full Specs.
EDIT: The graphics were more than great.
There was certain things that annoyed me. Splicers, and generally not a lot of diversity with enemies. I know there were different kind of splicers, but I got tired of fighting splicers, big daddy's, and bots all day.

Would you kindly buy me a CJ shirt from the TL-store?

I beat it when it was called System Shock 2.

The game was fantastic, second best game of 2007 by far. But one problem I had with it was that it was far too easy.

That's because you played it on easy.

and the end boss + Show Spoiler +was pretty easy, too, I just used that gun with the electricity and owned everything no problem. Pretty sure I was playing on normal difficulty

Amazing game indeed. Together with S.T.A.L.K.E.R., my favorite for the year 2007.
I didn't like hacking though. Not the mini-game or the ability to do that itself. That's fine. But you have to do it so fucking often it really gets annoying. There are way too many things to hack. Ok, you can ignore many of these but if you want to play as efficient as possible you pretty much have to hack turrets, cams, vending machines, health machines, etc... and then it gets tedious.
Oh, and I had a lot of trouble with the mouse sensitivity, but I'm far from the only one... on the lowest sens, the mouse is very slow in menus and way too fast in the game. I guess shit like that happens with half-assed console-to-PC ports. I also had a black screen on start until I updated DirectX, the game to version 1.1 and used a NVidia beta driver (at that time). If anyone else has mouse sensitivity issues, I've written down a solution after some googling:
Edit User.ini in your home directory: - Search and replace every occurance of "Speed=2500.0" with "Speed=1000.0" (you can also try other values < 2500) - At the very bottom, add this block: [Engine.PlayerInput] MouseAccelThreshold=0.0 MouseSmoothingMode=0
Edit Bioshock.ini in your home directory: - Change these all to "False", every occurance: "CaptureMouse=True" "ReduceMouseLag=True" "DoubleBufferMouseLag=True"
If you use a Logitech mouse with SetPoint software, go to "Mouse Game Settings" and under "Speed and Acceleration" select "OS implementation"

It's a good game i thought, but i just got so bored around halfway.
Monster - photo - kill. Monster - photo - kill. etc etc
|
The beginning, sander cohen and meeting andrew ryan were the only good parts.
The whole photo system is obnoxious, and the endings feel like they've been written by a fifth grader. That and the last boss battle was the dumbest boss battle I've EVER seen in a game. Still fun for completing once though, but I had way more fun with crysis/cod4/stalker.

I played System Shock 1&2, loved them so much. Haven't got to BioShock yet, some day I hope :-)

+ Show Spoiler +It was too obvious though
I didn't really take pictures of the splicers, because it was too tedious. All you get are some crappy upgrades, and bonus with ammunition against them anyway.
The hacking was tedious, so later on in the game I just destroyed the security systems, or auto hacked them.
I also gotta agree that last boss way easy. Dodge hit, grenade launcher or crossbow, repeat till he's dead.
I disagree about the endings. I thought it was great, and it if you didn't know about it. It really analyzed your personality.

how many different endings were there?
