I know some people might have a bad idea about thrift stores. I didn't exactly know a lot about them until one opened close to me. I don't really buy any used clothing, but I noticed that they sometimes have really old stuff, that other people might find useless.
Like a couple of months ago I went in ,and found a couple of philosophy books for really cheap. Another time, I found this old Goosebumps VHS tape that I bought. My girlfriend, and I ended up watching it for nostalgia. We were both really big Goosebumps fans when we were younger.
I also found 2 1st generation Sega Genesis for like 4 bucks each. I bought them, but I still haven't tested them to see if they work. I'm planning on selling them for like $10 soon.
So anyone ever bought anything interesting at a thrift store?

Last year for St. Patties Day, I got a ballin ass green blazer to wear around for $2.
I also bought an old school Pats jersey, unnamed, with Bledsoe's #, and two other junkie football jerseys.
Thrift stores got a lot of cool shit just for gags, but I'd never shop there for daily wear

I wish i knew antiques. A lot of money can be made going to thrift stores and garage sales. Then ebaying them.

Thrift stores are great. I've been doing virtually all my clothes shopping at thrift stores lately, and hope to keep it that way. Why spend a fortune on something new when you can get something used that works just as well? And most stuff purchased new just encourages awful sweat shop labor and waste of resources.

I gotta agree with what you just said. Less $$ on clothing, more $$ for games, or other things you might want.

in Berkeley, California there's this store called urban ore... anyone who lives near here has to go check it out... it's the most awesome thing ever. I bought some badminton rackets and a shuttlecock (best word ever) for $1.
for those of you who haven't been there, it's this huge old warehouse that's like some sort of thrift store/flea market... it's awesome.

i buy my clothes at thrift stores. i deny it when people ask though. things are just so cheap there its great. Since my family is poor we havent been able to buy new clothes for next school year. so im always on the lookout for loose change so i can go shopping for clothes. right now im sharing my shirt with my little brother. sometimes we have to wear it at the same time if its laundry day. but we both can fit in it since we are both skinny, because we dont get to eat everyday, because we're poor.

He's obviously joking if he can pay for internet. =/
There is a thrift store a block down from my house. I went in there once and didn't find anything I wanted. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. They've also been doing this thing where around 3:00 PM people can line up for free food or something. I guess that's pretty nice. It's House of Yahweh or something like that. I might check it out again to see if I can find something cool. The last time I stepped in there was over a year ago, I think.
