If music is important to you buy good sound equipment. Dont let bose trick you into thinking they make good headphones. Try stuff out. Go to a store and try headphones / speakers until you find the one you enjoy.
My advice, if you dont mind open-back headphones is to buy Grado Labs' prestige series.
I also try to be more pragmatic about important environmental issues and not give in to fear mongering. Such as : reasonable use of glyphosate is a lot better than organic farming. Nuclear energy is our best bet against climate change for decades to come.
