I have seen many Bonds and Moore was my Bond growing up. Don't even act like Connery was either, cuz he was before your time also and you know it. I've seen a lot of both, and I can honestly say I enjoyed this film a lot. The Bond of 1970's is... well.. 1970's. It's almost 2010. If Bond is the same sauve he was in the 70's... he'd be laughable now. Plus this is one of the few James Bonds with character development. Bond was completely different at start and finish. What more can you ask for? Maybe a hotter girl, but I liked the girl just fine. And the intro was the hippest intro in years. wtf chris cornell is alright, but that intro was just HORRIBLE. (No women at all omfg!) Actually, the more I think about it, that's got to be one of the worst bond intro music ever. | ||

Its a prequel, its not going to have all of the cliche bond things. What I like about this one is he makes mistakes, instead of the other ones where he goes in, gets captured, manages to escape, kills somebody, game over. | ||

 . I agree that it's nicer to see Bond making mistakes. Also, the chase scene at the beginning was spectacular. I found it both amusing and more realistic how Bond couldn't quite match the black guy and his crazy moves, so he improvised .As for the poker, I fully expected it to be portrayed badly. I'm just glad they didn't have Bond win it all with a Royal Flush (it was a lower straight flush). Even people who hardly know anything about poker would have found that cheesy and predictable  . | ||

Anyway the poker was cheesy (come on of course he has the exact cards on the LAST HAND that would beat him), but that beginning chase seen made up for it. Plus i liked when he stuck the bomb from the truck on that guy's pocket. Then i had trouble explaining the torture scene to people. There're like "oh so how he gets tortured?" And i just say "uhhh lets just say this explains why bond never impregnates any women in the later movies" | ||
