Making of my DragonBall shirts

JoinTheRain Bulgaria408 Posts October 22 2018 16:18 GMT #1 Hey there, girls and boys! I just wanted to share my excitement over a thing so trivial as a few shirts. I am sharing the image in Spoiler tags not because it is disturbing but not to clutter the page. + Show Spoiler + Recently I finished watching DragonBall Super and I really enjoyed it. So I decided to make a couple of shirts. I thought I just get a few images from the web and done, I can have them on the shirts. But no, it turned out the images I liked were of bad quality. So what I did was I got the images and then I made new ones using the old ones as a base on which to draw on. Not like real drawing, just in Photoshop. And the coloring, ah, I never liked coloring but to add color to those ones and see them pop into life - it was a real pleasure. So I had double fun - I did the images and colors and then I have them printed on shirts for real. I even did a small black shirt for my daughter with the image of Goku and Vegeta, We wear them together and she's looking so cute in it. Why stop there, I thought. I can make other cool DragonBall or Starcraft images as well. I have not yet made Broodwar images but with the remastered art it should not be too tough to make a detailed zealot and color it decently. Sure, it takes time. I think the image with Goku and Vegeta took me like hour and a half to make. But it's well worth the effort in the end. Anyway, thank you for reading and see you!

I would be thrilled if they make an arc where Goku is sick or away or something and can't fight. So Vegeta and Gohan take the fights. I loved it when Gohan fought Cell. As for shirts, a friend of mine asked me to do an image for him. When I do it, tomorrow or the day after, I will post it again.

I made the requested image and here it is: + Show Spoiler + It turned out nice, I think, for two hours spent in Photoshop while at my regular work. I made it also on white background and without background but it looks pretty much the same, it makes a difference when you decide to put it on a shirt. I am starting to like coloring them more and more as I do more of them and I also watched a few videos on how to do a better job at it. What was funny, my friend gave me money for this one, he insisted I take EUR 10 for the work. I did not want to because we never talked about it being a paid request but I ended up accepting them. And I will take my kid and buy her a piece of cake or something. Again, thank you for reading!
