I think he initially missed the ball on the play, that is he committed a reach in foul and did not deserve a jump ball. However, the remaining talk that he "headlocked" Green and the like is laughable. That is all on Green's stupid flailing. IF you think there was ever a moment when Lance deserved, or was close to deserving a jump, the only subsequent foul is on Green, who rolls through and does something that is a borderline tech. The sequence goes like this: 1. Ball over his head, touched by Lance; 2. Green attempts to bring the ball behind his own head, pulling Lance into him; 3. Flailing, but Green has brought Lance into a physically superior position, so he loses, Lance is actually fairly nice here and does not slam him at all (which would have been fine); 4. Roll through that was unnecessary; 5. Green does his stupid gesture. The only legit call against Lance is the reach in, which I think would be a good call.

They've played the same number of playoffs games, 220 to 221, and Lebron's numbers are way ahead. Both have also given up in playoff series (phoenix g7) so you don't really have that. Kobe's just less efficient, less able to involve teammates and relies on his clutch mamba mentality myth, which is simply high volume 30ish% heroball late in games and when he made them it added to the confirmation bias. If the game's on the line there's no question I'd want current Lebron over any era Kobe. Lebron's shot over 50% from the field in 7 playoff runs. Kobe's done it 0 times with less rebounds and WAY less assists. Lebron has also carried 2 of the all-time worst rosters to participate in the finals, which shouldn't be a knock against him. On the other hand you have Kobe who wasn't even the best player on his team for 3/5 finals. Let's see this rational argument. Thank you for taking the time to actually respond. I really didn't feel like it.

He was also a pain to get a long with he was having feuds and had insulting teammates videos leak before social media. So you can't argue better teammate or anything. And LBJ just does so much more then score. To be honest in my all time list Kobe doesn't crack my top 5. sure kobe was a pain to get along with, lebron will just trade ur ass.

An odd question considering him, Jordan, & Bird are the easiest to plug into any such roster. Magic and LeBron are the hardest individually, while another problem is the glut of big men in the top 10.

It is all speculation anyway. I might go with a starting five of (numbers positions I'd have them play) and these are not the 5 players I think are the best but that I would make the best 5 man unit. Yeah it is crazy lol 1. Jordan 2. Ray Allen 3. Lebron 4. KG 5. Duncan I would consider a true center instead of Duncan but I think the flexibility would be awesome (Shaq or Olajuwon). You have 5 all defensive team, one of the best shooters, great passing in all positions. I think you get away with having a non traditional point guard by having Lebron at the 3. You put together any all time starting 5 it is probably going to be great, I think I'd go with this.

WTF happened there? 3 to 9 seeds in the Western Conference were all pretty equal and all within like 2/3 games in their final records. The Pelicans also had a top-10 offense with their most used lineup after Cousins, one of their main players, went down and they made a trade for Mirotic. They were actually rating better than the Blazers to finish the season. The Pelicans then were hot shooting-wise in their series, doing better than what could be expected of them to sustain. edit:fixed trade part

there are no objective ways to compare a player from one era to another on equal statistical grounds even if their position and play style is the same as there are a lot of variables and complexities. it always ends up with old people being nostalgic and young people being captives of the moment. fun fact about statistics tho: kobe is a better passer than lebron in clutch situations and this is significant because lebron plays point and kobe has lower ball possession time in 2-minute mark. the caveat here is that kobe had shaq and gasol while lebron "only" had kyrie and love and dwade bosh, so centers vs. shooters. apples and oranges, but it just proves my point about use of stats and goat conversation. lets just enjoy great games and great players.

The VanVleet/Siakam/Poeltl line up has a stupid high net rating of +15.6. That unit has been a big weapon for Casey all year. https://stats.nba.com/lineups/advanced/?Season=2017-18&SeasonType=Regular Season&GroupQuantity=3&TeamID=1610612761&sort=NET_RATING&dir=1&CF=MIN*G*800 The "bench mob" needs its QB. If VanVleet doesn't play in the rest of the Toronto//Washington series then Washington should win it.

WAS was a tough out, they should have been higher then 8 but they played lots of the year without wall and much of it was with a far under 100% Wall. Despite the "wizards are better without him" bs that came about on their little streak, they are clearly better with one of the best players on the planet back on the court at 100% or close. I'd still (and have) bet on the raps to win the series.
