Welcome to this month's top streamers list! I stopped posting these about a year ago because people seemed to be not too interested in them anymore, but I saw a few requests were posted in the previous edition, so here we go again
Huh? What's this? I run Fuzic - which collects statistics and rankings of StarCraft II live streams - and these threads are a summary of the viewer numbers for the past month.
Data is sourced from fuzic, and additional up-to-date stats may be found there. But in these threads - which I will try to post at the beginning of every month - there will be a monthly summary so you can get a quick overview of that month's viewer numbers.
Highlights
- Winter has topped the charts for about as long as we can remember, but was dethroned this month by Korean YouTube stream 인피쉰 (which translates to "Infinite", according to Google). I don't really know what this stream is about, so if anyone knows who this is or what they stream please share in the replies below!
- Averages are on the low side, which is probably because of Twitch's new-ish rebroadcasting feature. Rebroadcasts typically draw less viewers, but still add up over a longer time, meaning peak and VxH stay high while averages decrease.
- PiG has been on a slow but steady rise the past few months, slowly gaining viewers and ending up at #4 in November. Winter is still a ways off, but he's quite close to Honor in terms of viewers right now, competing for that #2 (or #3, with Infinite's appearance) spot.
- Top events are the usual suspects: obviously topped by WCS, which peaked at 98k, 30k below last year's finals. The amount of ZvZs probably didn't help in that regard... HomeStory Cup, SHOUTCraft Kings and WESG make up the rest of the top spots.
- As always, suggestions and requests are welcome!
Inclusion criteria The rankings list any stream that is reported on by the APIs of the various streaming services (Twitch, Azubu, etc). I have no way of verifying to what extent someone's viewers are legitimate, and therefore will not independently ban someone from the rankings. Please do not start a(nother) discussion about this in this thread.
The lists "VxH", or "hours viewed" is the average amount of viewers multiplied by the amount of hours the streamer has streamed during that month. Basically, if for each viewer you count the amount of hours they watched the stream during the month, and add them up, you get this number. The list is sorted by this metric, as it gives a good impression of the streamer's activity through the month.
You can click the links below the charts for additional stats and a list you can sort by whichever metric you prefer.

Who is Honor? I've never heard of him. Also nice to see that average viewers have more than doubled compared to last month.

he's a korean fastest map possible streamer, but judging from those peak numbers he gets more viewers than the progamers :O

The past few weeks I've seen a few other BW YouTube streams with really high viewer numbers (example 1, example 2). I haven't been able to catch them live (and I don't speak Korean) so if anyone knows those and can explain why so many people watch them that'd be cool :D

Bonjwa is great, they have low level leagues as well.
Thanks for the stats, very interesting.

Awesome to see this make a return! Now that I'm streaming my goal is to be on the chart at all haha.

Does Winter stream rebroadcasts?

Ex progamer, won a tournament in Italy last month and generally entertaining guy. Second guy, no idea. In the past Afreeca basically had a monopoly for BW streams but now more and more BW streamers are streaming on multiple platforms at the same time and some viewers are changing platforms.

I certainly hope he does, since otherwise streaming 22 hours a day sounds pretty unhealthy.

Speaking of streamers, I'm always super impressed by Forte, his mechanics are stunning, I wonder why we never see him doing well in competitive matches, maybe the nerves are still too strong.

Thanks, no idea why I've never heard of him.

If they stream different games, does the list only count the hours they streamed SC2, or just their overall stream time/viewership? Maybe it was mentioned in the text and I just missed it, but it would be nice to know.
Thanks a lot for doing this btw! Is this gonna be a monthly thing once again now?

Definitely only sc2 in those stats. Otherwise it would be a lot more than just 65 hours, since they stream 12+ hours 6 days a week.

It's just SC2. Or, technically, it tracks streams whenever they have set their game to 'SC2', which may not always accurately reflect the game the streamer is actually playing (such as for Infinite, in this month's charts), but then there's no way for me to check that.
I've streamlined the process a bit so I hope I can post these every month again, if people stay interested. I stopped posting these because I got very little response to the last few threads. I suppose people may appreciate this even if they don't reply, but replies are the only way I have of seeing if people are still interested, so if you have any kind of feedback I'm always happy to hear it
