Hey guys! You may know me from SC2 as one of the owners of PSISTORM Gaming, or maybe from my weekly online cup the "Filthy NA Cup Weekly".
I'm excited to announce a new online tournament series for Brood War (and later, Remastered) players, the Filthy BW Cup Weekly!
This is a $100 prize pool weekly online tournament, open to all. First place every week will receive $50, with $20 going to second place, and $15 going to third and fourth place.
The next of these cups will be held:
Stream:
filthyrake (English)
Casters:
Schamtoo
Where:
The chat channel is "filthycup".
All matches will be attempted to be played on 1.18, on US-West.
Format:
The format is bo3.
Single Elimination.
Maps:
Map pool is:
Fighting Spirit, Outsider, Camelot, Blue Storm, Neo Jade
Vetoes
Vetoes work as below:
A player bans 1 map, then B player bans 2, then A bans 1, then last map is map to be played on. Loser of first map picks 2nd map after winner bans 1. Salty runbacks are allowed (Salty Runback: A loser can re-pick a map they have lost on, however if a player has won on that map, they cannot pick it again).
Results:
Report results after each match, both winner & loser should confirm on Smash.gg.
Replays must be submitted after the series is complete by the winner of the series! Submitting a replay will be done by emailing to schamtoo@gmail.com with subject "Filthy BW Cup" and which match is being submitted.
Prizing:
1st: $50
2nd: $20
3rd/4th: $15
Payouts:
Payouts will happen via Matcherino. If you finish in the top 4, you MUST register for the event here:

With regards to the map pool:
Not gonna lie, I dont know jack about BW maps. If left to my own devices, I'd say all maps should be played on BGH  So I am taking input from my high level BW friends to guide my decisions here.
That in mind, dont assume that the maps you see this week will be the maps you see every week! I fully expect to change them up as we go and learn more about what works well and what doesnt.
