Blizzard Entertainment is pleased to announce the 'I <3 StarCraft' event — a token of our appreciation for all our passionate fans around the globe — taking place on March 25 live in Korea, the capital of StarCraft. President and CEO Mike Morhaime will be on hand to extend his personal thanks to this amazing community.
The event will start at 2:00 p.m., and will include various on- and off-stage activities throughout, as well as a StarCraft: Brood War show match featuring four legendary players. At 7:00 p.m., the Global StarCraft League (GSL) finals will commence, and two of the world's best StarCraft II players will duke it out for the title of GSL Champion.
Don't worry if you can't make it to the event — there will be an English stream available, so don't miss out on the opportunity to join the event online and share your Koprulu sector stories with us and all the StarCraft fans around the globe!
Part 1: THE LEGEND
Since its release in 1998, StarCraft has been weaving your past and present together: 19 years of fond memories within the Koprulu Sector — playing StarCraft with friends or at LAN parties, discussing strategies, practicing your micro and macro, and watching the rise of the new heroes we cheer for in tournaments, LANs, and BarCrafts — has elevated StarCraft to an experience that every generation can share and enjoy together, even all these years later. Your continued passion, support, and dedication are the reason StarCraft has become so much more than just a game.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make this happen and celebrate StarCraft’s 19th anniversary together.
