Tip #2: Find previous test/similar test, they would be useful
Tip #3: Sleep properly before the test. The optimal sleep time is 4 hours or 6-7 hours. If you ran out of time then just sleep for exactly 4 hours, or else you will wake up in a very tired state.
Now follow these steps:
Step 1: Take a look at the previous tests to see what sort of question is going to be given out. Get a feel for it. Now there are two scenarios:
Step 2:
Phase 1: absorbing (3-4 hours)
- going through the slide make sure you understand them. It's better to refer to a book since slides are just notes honestly.
- if you are stuck at some slides, just take a note and skip them. May be after some slides, you'll go back and understand them. If they are practical material, make sure you understand the calculation.
- continue until the end of the slide. You might want to skip the few last chapters since they are normally additional stuff (do it if you think you can get away with it)
- Take a short break (20 mins)
Phase 2: reinforcing (2-3 hours)
- Now scan through the slides again and make sure you understand everything, all the plot-holes that you made earlier, make sure you cover all of them
- Take a short break
Phase 3: finalizing
- Do exercise, sample test, get question from the text book and do them. Put yourself in something similar to the test that help to enrich your problem solving experience for this subject.
Step 3: Go to sleep (see tip 3). Make sure you wake up early so that you will have around 30 mins to scan through the slides for the last time, iron out any last minute issues.
Step 4: Get your id, pen/extra pen, calculator and get ur ass to the test.
Step 5: ???
Step 6: Profit !
