he probably saw a 0% probability of winning against kaido and pulled back immediately, while kidd and his willingness to fight brought him where he is now

I would love this if this happened, it would fit the character very well in my opinion.
I'm also wondering what the roles of the supernovas will be in the new world after the timeskip, they were given so much exposition in the sabaody arc. Some of them have picked sides and all, but how will that affect anything the main protagonists are trying to achieve? Or maybe they are gonna participate in the WG-RA subplot?

In the end, all the Supernovas will join Luffy, #Strawhatfleet2021

I can see Luffy/Law teaming up with Kidd to take down Kaidou. When they fought together at the auction house, there was a feeling that those three would be the biggest Supernovas and would interact again in the future. All three have a reason to take him down.
Oda doesn't do things randomly, he sets it all up. That's why he's so good. Having those three fight together sets a precedent and introduces a stronger connection between them than there is between any of the other Supernovas.
Aaaaaand it'd be really cool.

It would be a funny alliance, for sure.
I can see Kidd and Law nipping at each other and Luffy just being like "hey you're my friend now". Poor Kidd, won't know what hit him.

Nah, it's going to be Drake that betrays Kaido and teams up with them. But only if he gets his bitchin hat back. His current hair spike looks retarded.

Don't you remember that time Kaidou tried to commit suicide by jumping from a sky island and landed right on the island the Kidd alliance's base was on? Kidd was dumb enough to pick a fight.
aahhhhh yeah I remember now... thanks!!

Sabo's filler was only two episodes?
Would have liked a mini-arc. Ah well

I kinda like the brevity, but at the same time I'd like more. It'd be nice to see an increase in the amount of these without dragging them out to the point where they're taking away from the actual story.

It was just not as terrible Episode of Sabo filler. Some new/extended scenes with recaps spliced in and some of the downtime scenes from the manga. I'd like an actual decent filler arc so we don't have the 1:1 chapter to episode ratio, but I doubt even one filler arc would be enough. Most likely it will just continue with the 1:1 with enough filler so the anime doesn't actually catch up as the manga takes more breaks then the anime.

One Piece anime hasn't done an extended (as in, more than 2-4 eps) Filler Arc since the Ice Hunters wayyyyy back right before Thriller Bark, right? Unless the Crew Separation Cover Arcs count as filler.

One Piece should do a fairy tail and give the anime a hiatus..

In my dream world, it goes like Hunter x Hunter. Drop Toei and re-do the whole thing from the beginning with a huge update in quality.
|
The problem is there is absolutely no reason for them to do so. Anime making isn't about producing quality, its about generating money, and the anime does that fairly well.

I had never bothered to check, but ep 326-336, the ice hunters, was the last filler arc, we've only had a few filler episodes with stories lasting only 4 episodes at most. http://www.animefillerlist.com/shows/one-piece

Except there's millions of dumb kids in Japan that love filler and padding and will watch regardless. Why go on haitus and lose potentially hundreds of millions of views when you can just keep churning out the same garbage every week with minimal investment? The only time when One Piece will ever get a good anime again is when the series ends and the reruns stop being popular. Then, and only then will we receive a remastered version just like there's re-re-re-remasters of DBZ.

Luffy's voice-actress will die before we get to remaster One Piece.
Can't have One Piece with her. She's just too good.

Something I just realized. Luffy's scar looks like a smaller version of Garps (the ones around their left eyes).
|
True.
Would be interesting to know how Garp got his scar.
