I can see why people are upset that Vegapunk couldn't finish his last sentence and left us hanging. I can also see why some are upset that he didn't really say anything new besides the ocean rising 200 meters. But I, for one, am glad he got cut off. In fact, I hope that Oda never reveals what the D are or what the name of the ancient kingdom is or the nature of the One Piece treasure on Raftel. One Piece really just needs to be a shaggy dog story, IMO. Just play it exactly like the Oden flashback. Show Luffy laughing and then leaving shortly afterwards. Don't mention anything about the D, only that Luffy is now motivated to destroy the World Government and let us, the readers, fill in the blanks. Oda has been hyping up this reveal for almost 30 years. This is a Game of Thrones scenario all over again. Given the astronomical expectations, the true nature of the One Piece will not be satisfying no matter what.

Most of them are lawbreakers and are not exactly somebody who are educated, professionals and trying to be productive members of society to society. Rayleigh may be a depressed alcoholic but he never was useful in the society in the first place lol

Oda is trying to say that Nika stands for freedom and luffy was able to awaken the Nika fruit because of his dream, not the other way around. We have to remember, Nika is a myth, a deity, a legend, a dream, a desire and the devil fruit is born out of those dreams and desires that people had. In 900 years only one person has awakened the fruit since Joy Boy and that's Luffy; and lets not forget, Kaido explicitly stated that awakening is achieved when the users power (haki) matches the requisite level. Oda constantly reminds us that Luffy's power is not about the devil fruit he has, it's about who he is, what he stands for, his dream and his own ability. Edit: Another way Oda drives this home is the "two sides of the same coin" opposite of Luffy, which is Blackbeard. Blackbeard is all about acquiring Devil fruits and is very purposeful in which ones he picks, whereas Luffy couldn't care less. Zoro, Sanji, Jinbe, Usopp, Nami, Franky don't have devil fruits while Brooke, Chopper and Robin do..

I read a theory somewhere that Joyboy is Luffy gone back in time. Not sure if that's true but he's definitely not giant size. He's also too lanky to be a buccaneer. This means he probably a human and most likely died from old age during the void century. I'm sure we'll get a full reveal on Raftel. I wonder what the plot for Elbaf will be. Shanks will have probably left by the time Luffy arrives but perhaps Blackbeard will find his way there? I suppose they could get into conflict with Loki. But seeing as how Luffy is literally one of their gods, I doubt it. Honestly, there's not a whole lot of characters remaining who could stand up to Luffy. Elbaf might just be a mini arc to prep for Lodestar and then Raftel.

Elbaf might not revolve around Joyboy as much as you'd think... sure they'll hear the legends of Joyboy & Sun God Nika recorded by the Giants Tribe, but then what... Luffy doesn't really care, this info might be only interesting to Nico Robin & the reader. Another point of interest on Elbaf will be the Treasure (or Jewel) Tree Adam. + Show Spoiler [ 2 other great trees] + There are 3 Great Trees in the story of One Piece with relevance. The Tree of Knowledge was on Ohara, and it was estimated to be around 5000 years old, predating not only the Void Century but also much before it (probably predating Red Line, etc.). It was one of the oldest things in the setting, before being burned down by the World Government in Nico Robin's childhood story. Then you have the Sunlight Tree Eve, that grows around Mary Geoise/Sabaody Archipelago and illuminates the depths of the ocean, where Fishman Island is. Noone knows where the crown of this tree is, but educated guesses can be made its right on top of the Red Line, inside the Pangea Castle, where Imu resides. Treasure Tree Adam, the tree that has been hailed as having the strongest wood in the setting. Only 2 ships have been made out of the wood from Treasure Tree Adam, and they were the "Oro Jackson" of Pirate King Gol D. Roger & Luffy's "Thousand Sunny". Possibly Shank's ship as well, but its not confirmed. How do you cut down wood like that? A lot of people are guessing its an advanced form of Haki control, that the Strawhats might learn. Kaido said Luffy had very bad control over his conqueror's haki... But thats not the interesting part... in the Bible, Eve was made out of Adam's rib, so on Elbaf we might learn that the Great Tree Adam has a HUGE hole inside, from which Eve was carved out of. Imagine Eve being a smaller circle carved out of Adam, leaving Adam a Crescent Moon. Inside the tree maybe we might find Saul and what little was salvaged from the burnt down library of Ohara? We might also learn where the original Devil Fruit came from. Which tree did they grow from during the Void Century or even before that. Personally, I'm betting on Eve originally giving birth to fruits that are now known as Devil Fruits. And Eve's crown being inside Mary Geoise under the personal pervue and care of Imu. We learned about Poseidon in Fishman Island, Pluton in Wano, and I think there's a good chance we'll learn more about Uranus on Elbaf. Maybe Uranus is perched on top of Adam? Or was perched there before, and is now on top of Sunlight Tree Eve? We might learn how it manipulates weather and its weakness? Having an orbital strike on Imu's side seems kind of overpowered... If Elbaf is a viking-themed region it would stand to reason The Adam Tree parallels Yggrdassil, and with it being destroyed in some way, would truly show everyone that we are in the End Game portion of the manga now. This would be the beginning of Ragnarok, or the Apocalypse / Final Days. Maybe Big Mom aka Linlin might also show up at a later point? Remember that She and the giants have history and aren't too fond of one another. When she was 5 or 6 she killed a few giants before killing/eating the nun & other children. Eustas Kidd should still be there providing some friction for the strawhats and could help to take down Big Mom again... Very unlikely but tying back to the 3rd Ancient Weapon, Uranus, Vivi might show up on Elbaf? We know she is on the run from the World Government and Imu specifically wants her captured. Where would be the safest place on ...Earth...? On Luffy's ship. Vivi might also have a link to Uranus being able to communicate with it, contesting Imu's absolute control of it? Think about it this way - Poseidon is a mermaid who controls Sea Kings and is in Fishman Island. Pluton is in Wano and can be awakened and freed (and maybe communicated with) at any time by Momosuke, if I had to wager a guess. Just like Zenusha. That leaves Uranus and someone to control it. I really believe that all 3 of these Ancient Weapons aren't machines, but biological superbeasts that have their own special person that they can talk to or who can command them. Poseidon is a mermaid who controls sea kings, Pluton might be a mole who digs beneath the ocean floor and Uranus might be some kind of ancient Feathered Serpent who can use Solar Beam like Pokemon. And lets not forget Usopp, this arc will be his time to shine! He loves Giants & Warriors and aspires to be like them... or at least did in like chapter ~160 LOL. Anyway, I think Usopp will make friends with Loki, the Giant Prince who will be extremely gullible, and believe all of Usopp's tall tales and exaggerations about the adventures they've had as Strawhats... + Show Spoiler [other plots in the Final Saga] + Another thing that has to happen is the Strawhats need to find the 4th Road Poneglyph to actually make it to Laugh Tale (Raftel?). Remember, they found 3 so far - one was on Zou (Zunesha's back), another one was on Cake Island, 3rd was in Wano and the 4th... was in Fishman Island under the ocean, but went missing! The likely candidates to have it are either "The man with the burn scar" (Hinokizu) on his Black Ship that sinks every other vessel that they come across, or somehow it ended up on Hachinosu... in Blackbeard's possession. I think Luffy's crew will also have to make a short stop on Lodestar Island before heading off to Laugh Tale. People on YT theorize Scopper Gaban (another one of the Roger Pirates) awaits worthy pirates who are seeking the One Piece on that very island. You have to think of WHEN in Luffy's journey did the Roger Pirates help the Strawhats - one at the very start inside Laboon, explaining to the greenhorns how the logposes and navigating the Grand Line works (sailing from island to island) and then Rayleigh at Sabaody, who helped them go from Paradise portion of Grand Line to the New World portion. It would make sense for 1 more crewmember of Roger's to help Luffy allign himself with his goal, 1 last time. Who knows? Maybe they'll have to cross the calm belt into 1 of the blues, to go up the Reverse Mountain again, because Laugh Tale might be in the air, under water, or resurfaces / becomes visible only only 1 day in the whole year... Hell, it might even be inside of a whale again, like Laboon...I mean... there's a reason only like 2 people in the world ever found it... Then there's Laugh Tale itself. I imagine it as it being a sort of Battle Royale island between all the players mentioned in the last chapter or 2 - Luffy, Shanks, the Marines, World Gov., Blackbeard, the Revolutionaries etc. Just a giant island battlefest. And finally, there might be 1 more arc after all of that... Mary Geoise and Red Line. I know its not Luffy's dream to overthrow the World Government but I really think a showdown with Imu is needed, and I highly doubt she'll sorte out of Castle Pangea anytime soon to meet Luffy at Laugh Tale... who knows, maybe destroying the Red Line will be vital to bringing the water level down or preventing it from rising again...

He knows exactly where Luffy is going and now has the means to kill him. This will also give Luffy proper motivation for getting back at Imu. Imagine if he spends like 30 chapters making friends only to have them all die right in front of him. Still, I wonder who the antagonist of Elbaf will be? The burned guy? Can some rando really stand up to Luffy at this point? A blast from the past, from the previous generation of pirates, a contemporary of Roger, Whitebeard, Kaidou, Garp and all the rest of the Old Guard, Shiki the Golden Lion? Figarland & the Royal Guards? Rocks D. Xebec? or maybe Enel & Urouge? Rocks Xebec was defeated at God Valley by Roger & Garp, but never explicitly shown to be dead. We all know how Oda hates killing characters... however I think Blackbeard inherited Xebec's will to bring destruction to the current World Order, so maybe he won't come back. Shiki the Golden Lion had a non-canon movie made about him, but he also appeared in a oneshot manga chapter, during the Impel Down arc. He was on an island with a scientist and they were talking about breeding some animal/plant type hybrids for war. Also coincidentally, the scientist told Shiki it would roughly take ~20 years to get the results Shiki wanted from that experiment... Since then, canonically it has been either 22 or 24 years? Shiki also wanted an ancient weapon and pestered Roger about its location... but which one? Hopefully Uranos on Elbaf... Think about it this way, you said it yourself - what kind of an enemy could take on Elbaf and the Strawhats currently? The 4 emperors are kinda done - Big Mom & Kaidou defeated, Shanks owns Elbaf, Luffy is the Giant's Sun God and... Buggy is Buggy. That leaves Blackbeard but I really hope they'll save the Luffy vs Blackbeard for Laugh Tale. Shiki with an army of monsters could hope to match the Giants of Elbaf in raw destructive power. I think the Royal Guards' job is to protect Mary Geoise so I don't think they'll be coming on the offensive. Last but not least - the fan favourite,
