This is how I feel about lower level players when they're trying to improve at the game. It happens to higher level players, but obviously at a higher level. I still feel this way. I honestly don't feel much better than when I was in diamond, it's just knowing some more tricks that happen to work in all the match ups.
One example is lower level players worrying about hotkeying armies, creep spread, inject methods, and micro. I suck at all this stuff. It's ok if you want to improve at it, but it takes _forever_ to get this all down cleanly, and besides, it's macro that is king. The best player for you to copy is the slowest one who micros the least. This is because they have a good grasp of what's going on in the game, and then it turns into a game where you're literally just playing yourself. You realize, "Oh P is doing a 2 base allin. Ofc they are those stupid P players. I'm surprised they could even find the power button on their pc. Stupid P race, so broken I know it's coming and it's still hard to hold, but I droned up properly and scouted the allin on time, so now all I have to do is make roaches and lings and a-move." <-- You're not worried about creep spread, strategy or tactics, or anything else. It's just injects, ovs, units.
If you can get good at finding those spots you'll get insanely better. In contrast, if you have [insert pro name here] creep spread and micro but poor macro and don't notice those spots, you're f'ed. The lower level you are, the faster and easier it is to do the first thing than the last thing ^.
