If it attracts that much jealousy it must be something desirable. Oh. And OBVIOUSLY it was the mere threat of photon overcharge that made him not commit at crucial moments and effectively lost him the game. Obviously. GG DK.

Never seen it before, held it after scouting and was massively ahead for the reaminder of the game. I wondered how often the bust worked. Apparently, it was a secret and a 'wp imba op' misdirection was necessary to hide the stats behind my opponent's build. You had a legitimate question, but it rarely goes down well when you message someone you beat after the game. No matter what you say or how well you mean, it very often comes across as gloating and rubbing the loss into their face. If I really really had to, I'd start with an apology for messaging and then just asking if I could ask them a question about their build or something (and back off with more apologies if they are not up for it, or you get insults back or w/e). If you start by being almost overly apologetic for messaging you may have better chances of actually getting a meaningful conversation. I mean, I don't want to legitimise being BM when you get messaged after a loss, but you have to realise that you are to some extent asking for it.

But this is getting off topic so...well, thanks for the explanation? I must have been spoiled by cases of people actually discussing the builds and practicing with me off-ladder right after games.

This is weird especially in beta when people are still trying to figure out the game. But this is getting off topic so...well, thanks for the explanation? I must have been spoiled by cases of people actually discussing the builds and practicing with me off-ladder right after games. You have probably messaged a lot more people after games than I have, so I guess you know better what works and what doesn't. I just know that we see a lot of BM in this thread that is initiated by the winner messaging the loser after game, although often with a more provocative message than yours. And if no BM happens, we won't see it in this thread. So well, I'm happy to hear that you often get good response. Restores a bit of faith in the community!

If you messaged me after a losing streak I would BM you much more(not saying (s)he was on a losing streak, just saying that this is totally acceptable from people on it).

What I don't get is that the community demands more social features even though the 'social norms' of the community dissuade people from using them even if they are finally there (like in LotV). EDIT: Don't want to mess up this thread so I started a separate one. People are nice to each other in general. Just not always when contacted by someone that just beat them.

He wrote a little PhD thesis there for you, without any reply at all... >_> the length people go to to feel better about a loss... Remember: NEVER try to think about what you could have done better! NEVER! Blame you opponent! Blame the game! Both! NEVER things that you can actually influence! Your play was FLAWLESS!
