God doesn't smoke weed because the government doesn't let Him.
The government doesn't smoke weed because God doesn't smoke weed.
The Devil doesn't smoke weed because he's already tried it.
The government believes God smokes weed.

Living in a small urban area in Alabama, it's easy to get jealous of other states that have legalized Marijuana. Most people believe Atlanta, the local hub is some kind of safe-zone where anyone with good credit can easily buy weed. In my experience I have found this to be true. On the other hand I don't want to travel across state lines because I've nearly been arrested on the interstate.

In your opinion, if I support legalization, what are the best questions to ask?

"Who can I vote for in my district/ county/ state/ country who supports legalization?"
"Is it worth it to move to another state/ country where pot is already legalized?"

I'm not sure I can ask those questions because I'm not sure this is a willpower problem. Who and where questions won't take us where we want to go. Why not? Consider the following from Wikipedia:

"At 340,136 words, the document is 12 times longer than the average state constitution, 40 times longer than the U.S. Constitution, and is the longest still-operative constitution anywhere in the world.[1] The English version of the Constitution of India, the longest national constitution, is about 117,369 words long, a third of the length of Alabama's."

And then:

"...invoking the favor and guidance of Almighty God, do ordain and establish the following Constitution and form of government for the State of Alabama."

Leaving Alabama isn't strictly against the rules. Even so, I'm not sure it'll get the job done here. Very few Alabamians could be persuaded to move to India. Probably no Alabamians would move to California, Washington, or Colorado. It just isn't a viable option.

As you can see, the sovereign bodies are not adverse to amending the legal documents. Unfortunately a legislator with the know-how to persuade enough people on the subject of literal interpretation is impossible.

The only connection between God and Weed would be his creation of it... So the only question is; Was weed the forbidden fruit? ...The answer is probably Yes
