If USA / Peru agree, I wouldn't mind making the CWs later. In that case, you would only have to wake up early 2 days during the round robin which isn't so bad.
It's +1 for USA. I think 2 PM EST would be perfect.

Sorry in case i missed it, it's a lot of text (; The lineup will be submitted at the time of the match to the attendant admin in the form of a PM to this acct.

Canada, USA & Peru play time changed to 2PM EST, Sweden remains 17CET - Canada has the early play time this week
2PM EST Peru <> USA
17 CET Canada <> Sweden

Hi,
Your posts lost me guyz, so we got 3 pool of 4 team, everyone in a pool play each other twice then top 2 of each pool advance to quarter finals, then its semi finals. then finals.
So far so good but, how you do a quarter final with 6 teams ?
Not that i'm that good in maths or anything but wouldnt 4 pool of 3 team and then 2 of each of them advance solve it ?

Is the advanced seed random ? It's the two most dominant teams of the group stage.

im confused about the map selection, each team gets to veto 1 map but then the maps are randomized and you only know which one you play last minute? whats the point of vetoing then? Its not like a whole team is often going to hate a single map, each player will have different map preferences.. Imo it would be better to have set maps each week so we can actually familiarize ourselves with the map we will play
edit: or just have 1 starting map per week like we did in the german fun clanwars, then the whole team can practice one map

edit: or just have 1 starting map per week like we did in the german fun clanwars, then the whole team can practice one map I don't want to make it 1 starting map per week because we would pretty much only ever see 2 maps per week in that case, starting map, FS. I think it's better if we go with an assortment of maps, the veto process could be changed however... Maybe it would be good if the veto was done the week before? Then you would know what the maps are, but you still have some input on the map pool.

While the subject of maps is up may I say; To get the map variety you could promote 2 or 3 maps each week. All first games are played on one map, and all second games are played on a second map etc.
At the moment the loser can pick from a very large map pool. Players cant prepare them all. So you will see more ‘generic strats’ like 2 factory, and anticlimactic games that end abruptly if one player is unfamiliar with the map.
Whereas if the maps are set each week, players can practice more efficiently and the game quality will be higher. Its also good because you will see a few games played on the same map in a row. This is good because it means you can directly compare how different players approach the map. Its good for the players too because they can anticipate what their opponent might do having seen what he did last time. It encourages more build up to a climax and demonstration of skill. It also means foreigner maps will get play time which I would like.
If you set the 2nd map as something that is less familiar to everyone, that will give the loser a small help to maybe catchup.
Example Week 1 Game 1: Othello Game 2: Chain Reaction Game 3 if needed: Othello
Week 2 Game 1: Eddy Game 2: Neo Overwatch Game 3 if needed: Eddy

I think eonzerg raised a valid point that map veto serves more of a purpose in the playoffs and for that reason, I will change the format as such.
Otherwise, I want to know from team leaders if they prefer that the map pool be restricted to the 5 starting maps every week or if all of the maps should be in the map pool (likely FS will be played in every set if that's the case - which it currently is).
