Set 1 - 1v1 Set 2 - 1v1 Set 3 - 1v1 Set 4 - 2v2 Ace - 1v1
The 1v1, 2v2 and ace are considered separate, thus they can feature repeat players. However, a single player cannot play in more than 2 sets.

The first map each week will be pre-determined, however, each team participating in the Nation War will have the opportunity to veto one of the seven selections. + Show Spoiler [Veto process] +
7 maps are presented per week, the participating teams must each select 1 map to veto, that map will be removed from the pool for this week, it will not be the first map of any set and cannot be selected by any player for that Nation War. Teams cannot veto a map that isn't listed in the starting maps for that week however, teams may opt to not veto a map.
Veto requests must be submitted 48 hours or more before the Nation War
Once both veto request are in OR 48 hours before the event, the maps will be shuffled by tournament administrators and assigned to their respective sets. The optimal 2v2 map will be prioritized to the 2v2 match before the shuffle begins.

Finals 2 Weeks - 1st - $500/2nd - $150/3rd - $80 Best of 2 - The team with the most set wins takes the victory. In the event of a tie, a final ace match will be played.

5) Sets & Walk Overs - All sets must be played on the proper maps - the use of incorrect maps will result as a draw, both players will be banned from their next nation war - No repeat maps may be used within a best of 3 set. - All players should be able to either host, or play in games with 3 players. Failure to meet either of these requirements may result in walk over in extreme cases. - If a player disconnects from a game due to internet issues and/or Launcer issues, the player may be re-entered or replaced. If the player disconnects a second time, the set will be counted as a loss by walk over - IP conflicts will be handled on a case-to-case basis, teams should always have 1 reserve player ready in case of conflict. - Players who are likely to have a conflict must have a backup in case of an issue. The backup could constitute a swap with a player from another set, but it must be indicated before the lineups are released. - PP matches must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours before hand with league organizers - Players must have /dnd active at all times while in Official Nation Wars games. - Walk Overs will be awared if a player is 15 minutes late to a set. The player who is on time may choose to not take a walk over. The walk over is for a single match in a set ~ 15 minutes 1-0, 30 minutes 2-0.

- Permanent stand-ins Permanent stand-ins are players which are on a nation's roster, but are not native to that nation. Permanent stand-ins may be permitted and will be evaluated on a case to case basis, a permanent stand-in must meet the following requirements:
The stand-in lives in a country neighboring the nation and/or a country with cultural resemblance
The stand-in must not reside in a nation that currently has a team
The nation which is applying for the permanent stand-in does not have a sufficient amount of players to field a roster.

The stand-in is present on the list of the Nation’s back up team

but cele said it was in preparation for the nationwars,so it is obvious that this event influyed to the friendly match happen. btw it was a very nice idea,great friendly nation war,if this event is close to that this will turn great.

Hungary will probably get a few more... Plus there are still players in Europe that don't have teams that they can pick up if they can't field a full line up every week. If they're dedicated enough though, they have the correct amount of players to run a CW.

I'm not opposed to revising the format... I'm not sure how keen I am on either of the proposed. I'm thinking of maybe going back to what we did in Altitude Nation Wars. Top 2 from each group advance, 2 groups of 3 are formed (top 2 overall stats are seeded into separate groups) playoff -> Top 4 advance.

Basically the least dominant 1st place team + 3 2nd place teams playoff for the remaining 2 spots in the semifinal, which makes sense. Personally I'm fine with the format how it is.

The point was that we still would play nation wars outside of this league. The posting made it sound as if Team Germany would only play in order to train for this event and stop once it gets going / concluded. Therefore, the wars aren't related. We'd take on clans or other teams maybe. However, let's first see how much time there's left once this thing gets going.

im confused about the map selection, each team gets to veto 1 map but then the maps are randomized and you only know which one you play last minute? whats the point of vetoing then? Its not like a whole team is often going to hate a single map, each player will have different map preferences.. Imo it would be better to have set maps each week so we can actually familiarize ourselves with the map we will play

I don't want to make it 1 starting map per week because we would pretty much only ever see 2 maps per week in that case, starting map, FS. I think it's better if we go with an assortment of maps, the veto process could be changed however... Maybe it would be good if the veto was done the week before? Then you would know what the maps are, but you still have some input on the map pool.

While the subject of maps is up may I say; To get the map variety you could promote 2 or 3 maps each week. All first games are played on one map, and all second games are played on a second map etc.
At the moment the loser can pick from a very large map pool. Players cant prepare them all. So you will see more ‘generic strats’ like 2 factory, and anticlimactic games that end abruptly if one player is unfamiliar with the map.

I am sad to announce that the Bulgarian team under my leadership is probably going to disband. There is simply not enough interest at the moment and also my motivation to lead the team is pretty low. If things stay the same towards Sunday I will ask for the team to be removed from the league.

Sorry guys, I know there are a lot of changes, but rather than keeping bad ideas, we prefer to modify the league to optimize the experience. There won't be many changes once the league starts, so this will stabilize.
This is concerning USA/Peru this week, though it also concerns Canada on other weeks. The postponned matches to 2pm EST will not have an attendant admin. Please ensure that all of your games are played on time and hopefully no issues will occur.
Concerning IP conflicts, If one of the two players can play in a game with 2 other people from either team (1 at a time, 4 people in total) while the other player can't, the player who succeeds this lag test will be allowed to stay in the slot. If neither player can complete this lag test and/or both, both players must change. The sample players used for the test must generally be able to play 1v1s without or with minimal lag.

Player A vs Player B -> LAG
Players C, D, E, F Lag with player B, not with A
Player A stays in the slot
Players C, D, E, F have the same behavior with both players A & B
Animus will be handling most requests for the first few weeks of the league. Please be patient if there is any misunderstandings during this time and/or if updates are a little slow. Any BM offenses towards admins will be treated at a higher severity than normal during this time (please be nice to him and make this a fun event for everyone).
If there is a question concerning league operations, I have said... This is as much your league as it is ours and all of your input is welcomed and probably more important in this situation than before. Im unclear on a few things after reading over the thread.
-If there is no admin present then how will submitting lineups work? What I gathered from reading the OP is that captains would PM a lineup to the ESBNW TL account and then the admin would set/announce the matchups for each set. So how's this going to work without an admin there?

It's in. Idk the TL stream and I'm not sure what's the plan with casting but if there's some order you might want to add the matches as well and then highlight which one is currently being casted.. the league and all of the teams are in the database now so you should be able to do it for the next one.

I realise this is already answered and Animus is right, generally, it will be more inconvenient for you guys due to no admin attending the CW at 2pm. The players were released early to facilitate them meeting up. Though, in hindsight, we could have released them this morning.
As for your CW, Animus is right... You will have to post them in the thread, both teams will send it via PM first however, the PM and thread timestamps will be compared to ensure no one was cheating. btw there was a big problem in the 2v2,since we pick maps from the 5 maps of the week there was only 2 maps for 2v2 .. will be nice to have more maps for the 2v2
also even if everyone no likes fs,we as players the map we practise the most is FS and proly the only where we can show our best skills,we are already playing new maps,if fs is perm available for losser picks will be nice since we cant repeat maps others will be played aswell.

Guys, since last sunday organisation with lineups was all messy, i suggest lineups to be submited with deadline of 48h before the tournament starts. With 1 set penalty for submiting lineups in less than 48h(2 days). Substitutions can be made in no less than 24h before NW and if you want to sub later than saturday 17CET other team must give their agreement. I think that will make tournament run smoother, teams more responsible and give time for players to prepare and lead to better games overall. Teamleaders let me know what u think.
don't like the sound of that. A lot of players answer me "perhaps" if i ask if they will come. So making a definitive lineup is very hard, but enough players always show up eventually. This way would be more trouble for us.

im not ok with it,the actual system is fine, for example in the nw of EF vs PL we never got the draw from you,we did it manual our selves and everything was ok i guess,one thing we make sure was to use the same line we sent to you,but give u the line 48 hours before is to much,this is not the proleague,most of my players know if they can play 30 mins before the nw.

Iccup cw system will probably work. People just need to remember not to submit their results there, instead submit to nation wars email.
Same as eon and others, and actually i thought the same sunday because it have many pros.
- i knew my line-up 5 minute before event, like half of the teams here.
- we asked for ace match if the pick was like korean (at last second) for the same reason
- u cant decently ask all line up at 17:00 and get all player ingame at 17:01 (no offense, just logic, love xoxo)
- almost every team (or atleast leader) here have been using the iCC cw format since years and is familiar with it
- even if replay and score is submitted here its not a bad thing, u wont get more spoil than been on op epbn and all the replay will be available in no time for caster/admins/clan lead and easier way to deal with it
- and last but not least, that would give a purpose to all thoses new tags ^_^

This way the admins don't necessarily have to be involved for the games to start.

This looking like the best idea to me, make sure u send lineups at least 10-20 min before the event starts so both teams can organise and stuff. Last week most teams sent lineups at 17 cet and after, everyone was asking all sorts of questions, and that was on 2 Tl accounts, iccup and skype simultaneously, so u can understand why i was so slow posting them here. I want to avoid that and start in time if possible.
I agree with fearthequeen option aswell as the iCC cw option, just rather get 5min before start as deadline to be sure we dont miss anyone that come late.
i agree 5 minutes sounds like a good idea. Also, that NW Captains should just start the games on their own. I think this is a Nationwar Tournament and i know most of the leaders from other events. Like our CW vs France was very mannered, well conducted and generally present thx to Myujinsan, who is a good sportsman.
So, to me there is little risk of cheating/ other bad blood. It will take stress away from the admins and they can double check afterwards if the lineups fit to those sent in the PM's
Also @ Animus: In my experience as an organizer, it is a good idea to give players only ONE way of communication to adress you. If you take messages in skype, per mail and 2 TL accounts, it's trouble. For me, having everybody in one skype group has worked fine in the past: Questions don't get asked twice, communication is direct and simple, replays can be sent etc etc. Just a suggestion though, you guys sure know how to handle it.

I also shot CardinalAllin a PM, asking for an obs version for 815 3.2, so we should have that as well soon... (unfortunately I haven't figured out how to run unprotectors on Linux yet, so I couldn't modify it myself).

Unfortunately, Game won't be available to play this preplay match (or at the 2 EST USA v Canada normal time). He's already contacted Dragon about this, just wanted to put it here formally. Also, we'd like this match to be played at a postponed date/time if Canada will agree.

First of all rules are : PP matches must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours before hand with league organizers You didn't ask for a PP you can't PP match rules are rules.
Glio is not our leader you asked our player, not our leader, he didn't know what to do so he accepted because as you know Glio is manner but when we heard about it none of our members were agree with it. We were here in time, Dsaqwe didn't ask to PP his match and Glio came while he could have done something esle of his sunday.
Since both teams make an agreement for postponing the set instead of walkover, that set should be played. I was there and confirmed that there can be PP if Glio does not want to take the w.o. Problem is that postponed set was about to be played by Kenzy for France and his team decided that without his approval.
With that decision made, French team will have to pick another player who can play as substitute for this match, if Kenzy and Glio are unavailable.

I friendly asked you if you agreed with that, you simply could have answered your refusal in PM, and that's it. No need to have an useless argument here. I took a hasty decision to agree for pp the match at the end of the CW, even if it was normally W.O for us but we didn't planned any date for the match, and the other involved players weren't present to agree with that. My bad for that. It would have been a dick move if our match was already planned, but we still don't have any news from dsaqwe or any date planned.

The player involved in this match (Kenzy) & the manager were not aware and asked concerning this issue (who are reponsible of decisions). Since the begining of the tournament, we have also encountered some trouble making our player to be there on time. When a player is not here to play, and we didn't forecast a postpone, that player don't play the match. The reason to this is that we are following rules.
It is not easy to take a decision concerning this kind of issue, but according to me, rules are rules and need to be respected.
What disappoint me a little bit is that our manners are compromised because we respected rules and our opponents who does not, is seen as the victim there.
We need to have a clear vision of what we can, and what we can't do in order to organize and manage our team as best as we can.

Negotiations about postponements and other stuff is between you - the teams. I can only approve or disapprove. Since glio didnt want to take W.O. and i was asked for PP match i said ok. If players have good will about it, its better to have more games played than walkovers. You didnt knew anything about it so you should not feel forced to play or anything. I cant give you a win if other team didnt decide to return the gesture and forfeit the set, nor i can give dsaqwe win by walkover because it will be real bad manner against Glio. Your posts lost me guyz, so we got 3 pool of 4 team, everyone in a pool play each other twice then top 2 of each pool advance to quarter finals, then its semi finals. then finals.
So far so good but, how you do a quarter final with 6 teams ?
Not that i'm that good in maths or anything but wouldnt 4 pool of 3 team and then 2 of each of them advance solve it ?

Animus here. As i understand the 2 top teams advance to semifinals, remaning 4 teams face off in quarterfinals, two of them go to semifinals, against top 2 teams from group stage and then the 2 winning teams go to the finals, get it?

Sorry, but you cant take Kyct in your team, he is too far and unrelated to Spain to be considered as a legal stand in. You should look for players in the western europe region.

Or, if France doesn't want to, I'd ask another team with a similar situation, so we get to see more than a merged clan (no offense, still <3 you ZaRaki et al), Poland and Myu's furious Frenchies. Or get in a situation, in which two people make time on a sunday only to realize that - out of the blue - a set was postponed about 20 hours before deadline.

Would probably not change anything thou (since there is no way to anticipate what team will not come). Also, I do think that the assign walk over for every match makes sense, so It seems ok.

Week 5 had Latin Quarter in the map pool. I enjoyed watching the vod in the post above of European Fusion vs France, thanks for that Cats Paw. The 2v2 in particular was fun, very back and forth. And thanks to the players for actually choosing to play the foreign map; it is encouraging.
To the players: Let me know if you had any problems on Latin Quarter. If you have a spare moment, do send me any replays of games that you play on any of the foreign maps.

As we will be entering the playoffs next week, walk overs will be strictly enforced. If your team is delaying the start of a set, 15 minutes after the opponents lu is submitted (earliest 1715CET), there will be a walk over (1-0 start). If your line up is submitted 15 minutes later than opponents (earliest 1715CET), all sets will start with 1 game W.O.

minor note about casting, which everyone of course enjoys, some people voiced their disapproval for sped-up games, I think they got a point, that when you haven't got the time to cast it is just better to move it a day or few days and have it done properly rather than at x8, no one points fingers or says anything bad, just a note about it, cheers

There is one thing that i would like to clear. First place matches are 2 weeks, winner is determined by the number of sets won. If results are tied that leads to final Bo5 ace match between two players, teams can choose anyone even the players who already played 2 times in the regular match. For example 3-2 poland one week and 3-2 for russia next >>> final bo5 ace match.
