I agree with other captains generally in that submitting lineup 48 hours before is no good. Most players won't be able to reliably commit to playing that far out and there would be many no shows. I much prefer being able to submit lineup once I see who actually shows up.
I think the most efficient way to go forward with lineup is like this:
1) Both team captains who show at the NW confirm with each other that lineup PM has been sent here @ TL (to EBPNationWars) 2) Once both lineup PM have been sent, both captains post lineup here in the thread 3) Games are played 4) Admin checks to see that the PM times are before the thread post time, and that PM/thread are the same lineup that was used.
This way the admins don't necessarily have to be involved for the games to start.

This looking like the best idea to me, make sure u send lineups at least 10-20 min before the event starts so both teams can organise and stuff. Last week most teams sent lineups at 17 cet and after, everyone was asking all sorts of questions, and that was on 2 Tl accounts, iccup and skype simultaneously, so u can understand why i was so slow posting them here. I want to avoid that and start in time if possible.

I agree with fearthequeen option aswell as the iCC cw option, just rather get 5min before start as deadline to be sure we dont miss anyone that come late.
|
i agree 5 minutes sounds like a good idea. Also, that NW Captains should just start the games on their own. I think this is a Nationwar Tournament and i know most of the leaders from other events. Like our CW vs France was very mannered, well conducted and generally present thx to Myujinsan, who is a good sportsman.
So, to me there is little risk of cheating/ other bad blood. It will take stress away from the admins and they can double check afterwards if the lineups fit to those sent in the PM's
Also @ Animus: In my experience as an organizer, it is a good idea to give players only ONE way of communication to adress you. If you take messages in skype, per mail and 2 TL accounts, it's trouble. For me, having everybody in one skype group has worked fine in the past: Questions don't get asked twice, communication is direct and simple, replays can be sent etc etc. Just a suggestion though, you guys sure know how to handle it.

R&S is up to date ~ Spoiler-free line ups are also included (because this is week 1, if you look at the standings, you will be spoiled Sorry!)

Most of these maps are to be found in the current iCCup map pack.
For anything else, try TLPD: http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/korean/maps/9_815_III though it's not actually well maintained as a map source (lacking obs versions and the like)...
I agrre, though, it's generally the best approach for the organizers to provide a map pack where everything is in place. Would also prevent things like people using horrible alpha versions of maps like Wind and Cloud...

I should have done this when the map pack was originally selected, however, at this point I can't.

I'll see what I can do - tomorrow (maybe this evening).

Yes, that's Eddy...
I think the obs version is not up to date, though... you can find both the newest versions of Cross Game and Eddy in the current iCCup map pack.

Would be really nice to have a liquipedia page for all statistics of EBP NW. And I'm looking forward for news coverage if there'll be some.
|
I did a little check on the map pack and found some errors.
Here's a fixed up version:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/63d4bqbic7eco2h/EB_NW_maps.zip
changes: - updated Match Point melee version to 1.3 (was 1.2) and removed a duplicate of the obs version in the melee folder - updated Mist melee version to 1.0 (was 0.90 alpha version without ovi cliffs at nats and stuff like that) - updated Roadkill to version 1.07 (the only noteworthy difference is that all nat chokes can be walled zergling-tight with rax+2depot)
I also shot CardinalAllin a PM, asking for an obs version for 815 3.2, so we should have that as well soon... (unfortunately I haven't figured out how to run unprotectors on Linux yet, so I couldn't modify it myself).

Thanks everyone for doing the map pack.
I had some time today so I started the liquipedia page http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/ESBP_Nation_Wars
Unfortunately I was using the Altitude Nation Wars page as a template for the Group Stage, and accidentally submitted the ESBP Weekly Results, so hopefully whoever sees that will just not accept that edit (haha) Edit: someone caught it.
For the Weekly detailed results, I only did USA vs Peru. Members of the teams or anyone else who knows results can fill them in. I believe I linked correct sponsor pages, admins feel free to correct any of that.

yeah thanks for the speedy mappack release guys
