@ the mode and your incapability to handle criticism:
yes of course the mode helps inactivity. What point is there to show up if your games do not matter? If it was me handling this league for Germany, I'd give France the walk over and do a fun war instead - with other maps, less kind of stress and use as much player slots as possible, as well as the freedom to pick times which suit both teams the best. Or, if France doesn't want to, I'd ask another team with a similar situation, so we get to see more than a merged clan (no offense, still <3 you ZaRaki et al), Poland and Myu's furious Frenchies. Or get in a situation, in which two people make time on a sunday only to realize that - out of the blue - a set was postponed about 20 hours before deadline.
Also
- R/S Threads usually display R/S and not cryptic nonsense
- Grids can be done and displayed with various tools, MS Paint is worse than MS Frontpage
- your English is worse than mine, you're a native, and yet you are bold enough to ask for a leader to "be capable of communicating in English".
- Geography doesn't matter for this event at all, it could as well be a clan league
- seriously, you can not invent words, you're not German, that's our thing. We invented a system called "grammar" for that, it also has an add-on called "Phonetics". Your language doesn't.
- your elimination mode is redundant, as explained in your blog, it could very well lead to positions in which teams play each other THREE TIMES
- it doesn't make sense to have qualifiers with six teams for a total of twelve teams. Oh sure, let's just re-name it and call it a league with 2,5 play days, because you invent a ton of shit along the way.
- "9) If you have any questions about the rules, you must contact the organization, not knowing the rules or misinterpreting them is not an excuse." If you actually followed through with this, you would have needed to ban 95% of players in this thread at least once*
- casters are not hard to come by for you, you got support, don't blame your faults on other people yet again. The casters for this event were superb
- coverage means coverage. Posting on two different accounts over the course of several weeks is not coverage. Coverage means presentation of information in an understandable way. Holy shit, I understand you might not be in a position to follow through with it, but don't disguise your incompetent ways as excuse.

Edit: Just to be clear, this isn't directed at the casters or animus. This is directed at you. The rest seemed to act a lot more capable.

If a team shows once during the season, it's not fair to attribute W.O to every game asside from the one they showed up to.
I don't understand how its fair. Both of our wars vs Peru only Zancco came, but we still played the sets, they brought full lineup vs Canada too (ace match walkover wtf). Since they were 0-4 record and mathematically out of course they weren't going to show up given their overall activity level. So now you are just going to disregard the sets the people showed up and played? It's not as if they were completely inactive.
If we're going to talk about fairness lets address Pool C... There's luck of the draw involved throughout, so yeah USA would happen to benefit from the way Pool A panned out regarding Peru's activity. That doesn't mean that you should erase the sets that were played.

The team played 2/6 matches AND gave Walk Over in those matches... It seems like a standard CL procedure to assign Walk Over matches for all of a team's games once they reach a certain amount of walk over sets.

haha, ok. Just seems a bit weird you wouldn't include something like this in the rules from the start. Because it can have a big impact on the outcome.

Would probably not change anything thou (since there is no way to anticipate what team will not come). Also, I do think that the assign walk over for every match makes sense, so It seems ok.

Team Hungary you have 24 hours from now to send the replays from 2v2 set vs Baltic United, otherwise it will lead to reversal of the match. Ive pmed your captain and also the captain of Baltic united if their players can also provide reps.

Week 5 results post updated
|
Week 5 had Latin Quarter in the map pool. I enjoyed watching the vod in the post above of European Fusion vs France, thanks for that Cats Paw. The 2v2 in particular was fun, very back and forth. And thanks to the players for actually choosing to play the foreign map; it is encouraging.
To the players: Let me know if you had any problems on Latin Quarter. If you have a spare moment, do send me any replays of games that you play on any of the foreign maps.
