UPDATE: we went to the movies last night, it was awesome. We ended up watchin The Mist, and it was pretty good, i might start watching horror movies more. Extracurricular activities during the movie and after were also good.
+ Show Spoiler [ Original Post] +Im going to the movies with that girl I wrote about in the last entry. She's actually a nice girl, not even that shy... seems bright for a girl (LOL). Anyway, tonight we're gonna go watch a movie, and I'm deciding which one to pick. I'm thinking a comedy would be the safest pick, but there's a high chance that I wont laugh at the stupid jokes, and if she does laugh, it'll be awkward. I dont want stupid action movies, coz it'll be stupid for her and its stupid for me ^^ I dont rly like horror movies, but it might have some good side effects (she'll get scared and she'll come close to me) My current pick, however, is The Illusionist with Edward Norton and Jessica Biel. It says that its a romantic triller. So I'm thiking it should be ok. I'm gonna appreciate some comments on what type of movie is best to watch with girls. If there's a specific movie you think might be good for me, name it and i'll look it up. The most useful comment gets exclusive pics. + Show Spoiler +EDIT: These are basically the movies to chose from: Poll: What to watch with a girl( Vote): 10000 BC ( Vote): The Illusionist ( Vote): The Mist ( Vote): P.S I Love You ( Vote): No Country For Old Men ( Vote): Cloverfield ( Vote): One Missed Call (a horror) ( Vote): The Kite Runner ( Vote): Juno ( Vote): Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street ( Vote): There Will Be Blood ( Vote): Charlie Winson's War

well ur spoilers suck...
But, make sure its a movie she hasn't seen yet, or one that she has seen way too many times (that way she gets bored of the movie and wants to do something else)

The Illusionist is a pretty good pick

dont watch one missed call my friend saw it says he wasted 3 dollars on tickets and 2 dollars on popcorn trying to entertain himself with it during that horrible ass movie o.o i voted for juno i heard that was a good / funny movie

I would pick The Illusionist out of them all just for the fact that Edward Norton is a fuckin leet ass actor.
Not to be hating on your choice of a first date but I would never take a girl out that I would like to know better out to the movies on a first date. You want to get to know her. What obviously are you going to know about her besides sitting next to her for 1.5+ hour? Hrmm but I guess each to his own preference. Have fun!

This is the first time we're actually going out somewhere(we live very close), but we've spent alot of time together in the last week or so.

While No Country for Old Men is probably the best movie there IMO, I voted for Juno since that seems like a better date movie to me.
Edit: Also I guess it depends on the girl. For some girls No Country for Old Men would be awesome, but since I don't know much about her I just picked the movie that would seem best in general.

Juno seems like the best date movie for someone you don't know all that well.
|
pick a movie with at least 1 long sex scene
that could be weird for a first date
|
The mist is nice and creepy. No country for old men was kind of boring i think :<. The only thing that save that movie is the bad guy.

No country for old men = yuck. Pick something else.
the illusionist or juno are good movies to watch with a girl.

I'd vote for The Illusionist, or for One Missed Call. Misattribution of arousal can work in your favor if she gets scared easily.

I can't believe somebody voted for 10000 BC. That is pretty much the worst movie I have ever seen. I would definitely choose Juno for a date.

anyway, i made a reservation for The illusionist and The Mist (like half hour later) also in case we get there late for w/e reason. I pay for these only when i come there to pick up the tickets so its all good, i'll buy only one of these.
Mist looks tense in the trailer, it can only be good.
