But that’s okay since 1001 > 1000 anyway. It was 1001 Arabian Nights not 1000, and that's good enough for me.
So a little about me:
Pre-SC2:
I played BW, WC3, Quake, Diablo 2, and Age of Empires as a kid and was okay at them but of course overall pretty bad. I played WoW from launch until Starcraft 2 came out in 2010, and was really good at it. In WotLK Wrathful Arena season my 3v3 Shadowplay team was top 10 in the world and the best Shaman/Priest/Warlock team (I was Priest). Most of my pvp buddies were quitting before Cata because of what Blizzard was doing to screw up pvp so it made quitting easy for me when SC2 came out.
Starcraft 2:
I found Team Liquid because of Starcraft 2. I was really into Starcraft for several years, with my highlight moment being casted by Force Strategy Gaming:
It was one of my favorite games I ever played and one where I had to jump up and yell in excitement afterwards.
Team Liquid was a great source for finding everything Starcraft and following the proscene. Staying up late (yay US times) to watch GSL and Proleague tried to make me fail classes. I’m glad STX Soul got a championship before disbanding – they were my favorite team (CJ was my next favorite). I played random so I had a lot of players I liked and could just cheer for good games in general.
Diablo 3:
I wasn’t expecting to like Diablo 3 as much as I did (even though I played D2 so much), but I tried the beta the day before release and instantly bought the game. D3 did the most to kill my love for SC2, but only my playing time, not my passion. I played a ton of Diablo and then even more once RoS came out. My first guide was for the transition from Diablo 3 -> Reaper of Souls, and it was really fun to write.
HotS:
I got alpha access to HotS shortly before RoS beta started so I only played it a little since I was a D3 addict. I also started playing some CS:GO that summer quite a bit but I burned out on both CS and D3 by the end of summer. I started playing HotS again, and since then it’s been my main game. I still play some D3 and CS, but not too much. Not long ago I decided I wanted to try to make another guide, but this time for Jaina in HotS. I wanted to see if I liked doing it enough to keep writing for TL HotS, and that’s a definite yes. As soon as classes are over for me (2 weeks!), I’ll be working harder on more HotS content. We’re going to make TL the best place for HotS.
Random Comments:
- Proleague > all other Tournaments.
- Carbot is the best ever.
- herO is my FPL captain every season because he is a sick nerd baller.
- I won the Need For Seat raffle from Homestory cup in summer 2013 and got a DXRacer Chief S RS chair (Best chairs ever).
- Shoutout to lichter for hating the Tempest attack sounds.
- We need more people to help update the Heroes of the Storm Liquipedia page. It's easy to add basic information and there's still a lot needed. Most heroes still need abilities, talents, strategy, and other general content. You know you want some editing coins on your profile...
