I showed that to my roommate and neither of us could quit laughing. The only part I didn't get though, was the rocks with the droid. Someone esplain pls?
In ep 4, when Luke was attacked by sand people and when Ben Kenobi came to rescue him, each of the edited editions added more rocks to the cavern where R2-D2 was hiding.
This needs a pic. Original vs Blu-Ray:
"Enhanced Edition" at its finest.
I love the extra rock dude. It really enhances the non organic nature of the shot.

it's so dense. every single image has so many things going on.
I like the name of the Sith. Rey and Finn are easy to remember and roll of the tongue. Don't know what they are going for with the pilot. Poe is just weird to me.

The new Villian looks badass, gives me a Darth Revan vibe. Also there is a livestream for The Force Awakens Live panel at Anaheim tonight. Probably our first glimpse at a new trailer. Starting in an hour.
Every time I think about the movie, I downplay expectations, remind myself it's gonna be terrible, or at best interesting but mediocre...
I then they play that music and show Star Destroyers in the sand and I'm excited as kid me was to watch more after seeing Star Wars the very first time.
I'm literally gonna be late to class because I was watching this trailer on repeat looking at the details. Anybody else notice how different the two TIE fighter models you see are? Or how the Stormtrooper armor looks different? Or that Leia is holding what sure looks like Anakin's saber (thought lost on Bespin)?

Exactly my reaction. My inner 5 y/o can't help but get madly excited.

Yup. I was on the fence with the first trailer. But that opening shot got me all excited. I nitpicked the first trailer, but I literally have no issues with this one- pure excitement... except for the fear of getting up expectations.
There's something about that crashed Star Destroyer that gives the universe a sense of history/ that lived in feel from the originals. Things happened, events had consequences, and you can see the impact. That, to me, is evidence of good subcreation- of realistically building a secondary world.
