I reached mmr for master two times but never got promoted. Still stuck in diamond but i have mmr almost as a mid-master. I hope to get promotion tomorrow, it's the last useful day for me before end of season. Btw the plugin is broken for diamond to master or blizzard just doesn't promote to master anymore (% of masters didn't increased with recent cut off changes)

Just wanted to make sure these matched up: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/16780418323 I think the April 5 date is later than when Korona mentioned (he said apply April 1)

You could have been losing more than the average MMR value per loss, because you sustained so many consecutive ones. Furthermore, Masters appears to be harder to break into than usual. Check ExcaliburZ's post (here)on B.net towards the end of the stickied post. He shows that the active league numbers are heavily skewed downward toward Silver/Gold and that Plat/Diamond/Masters are underpopulated. However, the skill discrepancy may be greater than what Blizzard can tolerate. Which makes it hard to adequately separate skill levels into discrete leagues... Anyway: you aren't masters for a reason, yet. Just keep on keepin on :-)

Just wanted to make sure these matched up: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/16780418323 I think the April 5 date is later than when Korona mentioned (he said apply April 1) Hmm. They even made a news topic week ago about the ladder lock occurring on March 30: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/18382014/2015-ladder-season-1-lock-incoming-3-23-2015 They did not give update in the news. Also some days ago the game client also claimed that lock happens March 30 (don't remember which day I checked it last time) . But I will check the bonus pools during this evening (EU time) has ladder been locked to confirm which info is correct. Edit 1: Bonus pools for US master web profiles has stopped growing at midnight last night, which suggest the ladder lock has already happened. Will now have to check web profiles for all servers + check are web profiles just suffering from display bug via in-game. Wonder if they have 'moved' the ladder lock date 1 week further, but then actually forgot to update it to the servers just like one season last year. Edit 2: Bonus pools for all servers and leagues have stopped growing based on web profiles, which would suggest that ladder lock period has already been started. Next will recheck this via game client. NA master web profiles stopped at 2004 NA diamond web profiles stopped at 1162 EU master web profiles stopped at 2004 EU diamond web profiles stopped at 1162 SEA master web profiles stopped at 2005 SEA diamond web profiles stopped at 1163 CN master web profiles stopped at 2005 CN diamond web profiles stopped at 1163 KR master web profiles stopped at 2005 KR diamond web profiles stopped at 1163 Edit 3: Bonus pools for in-game profiles continue to grow and ladder lock date is set to April 6. Seems Blizzard changed the ladder lock date and forgot to update it to web profiles. Thus all web profiles are suffering from bonus pool display bug. EU master in-game profiles continue to grow, 2023 at the moment EU diamond in-game profiles continue to grow, 1173 at the moment NA master in-game profiles continue to grow, 2015 at the moment NA diamond in-game profiles continue to grow, 1168 at the moment

Maybe I can get promoted after the lock ends. + Show Spoiler + https://i.imgur.com/VojmXSj.png Problem with these two is that 'good games' are not graphically displayed (config > data > mark assumptions / bad games). Also in the second moving average has been enabled, which hides potential data errors. In the second the two last opponent values are low. This could suggest that potentially the last good game value has been incorrect or MMR decay has happened (and no good games after that). But as moving average hides potential spikes cannot say anything about it.

Sometimes is really hard to not play this game to recover from a bad streak by the way xD However, I saw from other screen that other guys have way much more good games than me. I have 4/740. I have memory read on, what could be the problem getting more good games?

I have memory read on, what could be the problem getting more good games? Check this link and links inside it (remember those are very old offsets / thresholds in those examples, but basic principle is still valid): http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=22798150 Most common reason is that your MMR is in low range of your league. Then most of your opponents are also in low range and it is not possible to calculate your MMR from their data. But in high range you would get plenty 'good results' like this poster: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=23991574 Edit: though 4 out of 740 is extremely low... Maybe considerable portion of those have been played while DB has been locked for some reason (such as ladder locks).

Don't worry about that. The data it receives from the server is incorrect. It tries to load it but notices it is bad. And then loads the old DB file (the 21.2 you manually updated). After those error lines you should see it loading the 21.2.

Ladder lock period was supposed to start March 30 at midnight on all servers: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/18382014/2015-ladder-season-1-lock-incoming-3-23-2015 . But 2 days ago Blizzard informed that they had changed the date to April 6: http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/forum/topic/16780418323 . It seems Blizzard indeed changed the date in game client, but forgot to update the web profiles. As a result all web profiles for all servers are now suffering from bonus pool display bug (bonus pool stopped increasing on web profiles at original ladder lock starting time). Thus web profile data is incorrect and cannot be used for MMR calculations. More information is available here: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewpost.php?post_id=23995214 The new DB file requires manual installation and locks the data (no new good games are possible). When the web profiles have been fixed a new DB file will be released to unlock the data. Note that this is the same DB file that was released a day ago. If you have installed it already, then no new actions are required. You can download the DB file version 21.2 from: http://www.mediafire.com/download/pweln2al11qa616/bnet_data_21_2.zip Your current DB file version is shown at the top of the main log of the MMR tool. You can install the new DB by unzipping the downloaded packet to following folder: [PATH_TO]\Sc2gears\User content\Plugin file cache\mmr.plugin.MMRPlugin\ Please note that the Sc2gears should be closed when you install the DB file. When you restart it, the new file will be loaded (you can check the version number from the main log, note that it will likely say that version checker failed one row later, but that is not serious - it just cannot reach the server to check what is the latest file).

Thought there might be a special case regarding new accounts (those who have placed less than 25 games after starting from blank MMR). There were reports after HotS was released that some got 5 placement matches after leaving the league. 5 placement matches effectively mean that the MMR has been reset. The exact conditions when MMR reset happens after leaving the league are unknown, but likely tied to very low amount of matches after blank start.

I haven't updated yet, because I figured that we should wait until the lock. Thanks for the update though. I realized that there was a striking inconsistency with Blizzard's intentions regarding the ladder lock date.

I realized that there was a striking inconsistency with Blizzard's intentions regarding the ladder lock date. As explained they locked bonus pool on web profiles causing the web profile data to become invalid. Thus the new DB was still needed (it locks the MMR tool data --> no new good calculations are possible). Now they seem to have fixed at least some of the web profiles, but as the ladder lock will happen in two days I am not going to check if web profiles for every server fixed or are some servers still affected by the display bug. Hopefully on Monday I can publish a new DB that unlocks the data after the final bonus pools are known. One can hope there will be no new display bugs (During several past season transitions there has been problems on Blizzard's side due carelessness).
