On a more serious note: sounds like the height thing is not the real issue here, and platform shoes will only temporarily push the real issue to the background. She's insecure about something, they need to figure out what it is, and resolve it. She's 23, pondering on big life decisions, and that's ok. They need to figure it out, nothing TL can do here.

im sure the billions of men around the world that are <173cm really appreciated what your cousin said. In fact they should just go kill themselves already right? I'm pretty sure that his cousin was only speaking about his personal feelings, not trying to make a generalized statement about how all short men should feel. I don't get pissy every time someone complains about being tall because I'm tall? You should take a step back.

"get a shorter girlfriend"? seriously both of them are already in their mid-20s and still have teenage insecurities like worrying about height etc. looking at the guy's previous blog i notice he mention once he was shorter than his younger brother with a "cuter face" and wonder if this whole thing runs in the family. like someone mention theres probably something deeper to this and without additional background information or account we cannot realise why they have such a complex.

so what kind of advice would you give? "grow taller?" "get a shorter girlfriend" Whether or not there's any advice to give, (besides maybe "Always stay true to yourself and don't let others lead you to question your worth"), being cynical and saying "in fact they should just go kill themselves, right?" does nothing to add to the conversation the OP was positing and just seems to be a negative comment for the sake of being negative.

SHORT MAN SYNDROME RIGHT HERE LOL someone says something in private, personal conversation and states his feelings -> his brother shares it on internet -> you take what the dude said as if he was trying to apply it to all men who are <173cm or less.

That is what your cousin needs to tell her. Probemicro, well you haven't committed suicide so your theory is invalid.

And actually... I don't see the problem for him to wear platform shoes for "special events". My significant other also aks me from time to time to wear a suit, where I feel regular clothes would be entirely appropriate. She feels, that not wearing a suit would make look us weird while I disagree, but whatever... It doesn't hurt me to wear it so I do it, because it makes her feel better. Similar with the shoes here.

Being shorter then girls pretty often is really funny to me lol. But to be fair I bet even if I had no hands I wouldn't give that much of a shit about it and I am sure that is waaay bigger a deal breaker.
