So this is going to be a post on the longer side of posts.
It's this idea that's been lurking in my mind in the last couple of months. See, there is this guy in Sofia, Bulgaria, that says he is a dietologist. A dietologist is a doctor whose specialty is, well, diets. This guy is no doctor. I mean, he never actually stated he has a medical degree. Besides, I've watched a couple of videos with him and he is retarded. Like, actually dumb. He is talking complete nonsense about foods and what to eat and when to eat it. It's just that he's got this weird fame that he actually knows his shit when in reality he's just full of it. My wife's coworkers (most of whom are women btw) all went to him for food plans and advice. He's charging them EUR25 for this consultation(this is huge for Bulgaria, my wife's sallary is like EUR250). My wife (going to type her name from now on, Christina) got home with two sheets of paper. Good that it was not for her, else I'd make fun of her for the rest of her life. Anyway, on those sheets is the advice for one of her coworkers. Says stuff like current weight, fat% (without being actually measured, just a visual estimate of the aforementioned dietologist), height, age, mumbo jumbo, that sort of crap. And then it has two tables of "allowed food". Now, the tables are not complete crap quality wise, just the quantities of food advised don't make sense. But that's none of my business. I am not typing this to vent off rage about a random dude making money from people being dumber than him.
I actually think I can do a better job than him. Why would I think that? Well, for starters, I now actually look good without clothes. Not like bodybuilders do, with the large arms and too wide chest, but in the way muay thai and kickboxers do, just see some pictures (I am not that ripped yet, come on!). It was not my intent when I started working out. But it's inevitalbe, you go out there, you put the effort, you eat mostly tasteless food for about six months and there you have it, you look good naked. So, ok, I look fit for my height and weight. What else I got, you might ask? I can give you a detailed plan on what to eat and when to eat it in order for you to lose weight and not feel like crap doing it. I can give you advice on supplements like vitamins too. Most of all, I have the knowledge to explain you why you should do this and that in order to get to that. How do I know? Well, I am a veterinarian. You might say animals are different than human and I will agree. But the vitamins act the same way in animals as they do in humans. That's the beauty of metabolic circuits. If the evolution found out via trial and error that a circuit is good, it's kept for the next kinds of animals that are to come. So you actually use energy like the bacteria cells do. You get some carbohydrates, your body digests them, breaks them into simple molecules and puts them in the blood stream. Then they are sucked by the, say muscle cells. They enter the metabolic chain called the Cycle of citric acid and bam, you get energy to make Adenozine tri phosphate for your muscle cells. Bacteria dont make ATPh but they use the same cycle. This is without oxygen. When oxygen is involved, the mechanism of extracting energy is different but this is irrelevant now.
I can explain you the fats metabolism and the protein, and what happens with excess carbs (shortly, they turn to fat, not the fat from the food). I know the formulas to calculate food intake too. Like how many calories one needs, how many protein, how many carbs and fats.
Also I can advice you on some exercises. It turned out to be pretty simple too. What worked wonders for me (and other people) was the High intensity workout. Our muay thai coach said to us one morning "Alright, boys and girls, we're now going to do strenght training!". This strenght training consisted of 10 exercices which you perform for 30 seconds each followed by 8 seconds rest. During rest you don't actually rest but you move and prepare for the next exercise. Imagine you do 30 seconds pull ups, move to 30 seconds squats, move to 30 seconds bench press, move to 30 seconds shoulder exercies and so on. When the set of 10 exercises is done, you rest for two minutes and go again. As many rounds as you can. I can now to three rounds, followed by 2 rounds of core muscles training and then 4-5 round shadow boxing. And then I go to vomit and then sit down. But when supported by a healthy diet this makes wonders for your body and self esteem. I forgot, stretching and warming up, the most important part of the session.
I am thinking of doing some simple html site where I advertise myself and see what happens. If some people pop and are actually ready to pay me, I'd consult them. I picture it like this. Me sitting at my job with some laptop. A random fat girl/lady in front of me. I do some interview on her status, goals and timeframe, see if it's achievable (most people can healthyly lose weight for up to 5-6 kg per month) then type some food plan and if she wants exercises too and that's it. Like 20-30 minutes at most.
Obviously, this will not be a main source of income for me, just something extra. So I feel no pressure to advertise on other sites, to be high in google results and so on. I might need advice on how to structure the site though. Now it's just an idea, to have a site. What should be the order of the pages? What pages to actually be in the site? What contacts to give? Pictures too. I don't want to make some photos just for the sake of it and end with profane pictures...
It's all so vague right now.
Any kind of advice is most welcome.
And thank you in advance!
With respect,
Georgi Krastev
