I'm not entirely sure, either. Question: Have you ever had any use of your "bw life" in real life? Might be that you found a job through someone you met over b.net or something similar. I'm not talking about prize money or paid trips, but more about opportunities given to you because of BW.
Up until this summer I would have answered this completely differently but I must say.. having gone to California, then Florida and having stayed in Vegas all because of BW I would have to say YES! The people I have met, time I have spent with family (on these trips) and places I have been to were all possible because of BW. This is a unique way in answering because it is directly related to my success within bw and not actual skills from bw.. but I think its essentially answering your question. BW is a special game, the people I have met through this game have been exceptional human beings even stacked up to all the others I have met in different walks of life.
Specifically to BW I have applied the tactical development I have learned in things like poker, chess or life in general. This game demands that we make decisions on the fly and quick or else fall victim to the speed of the other gamers decisions. That being said I have become a very successful and skilled debater on the NPDA circuit largely in part I think, because of the mindset this game demands of us!

Did you ever go apeshit after losing a big BW game and throw stuff around?
When I was younger I would slam my fist on the table or get really mad and carry that mood through the day. In fact, even recently I think I was bounced out of a tourney fairly easily and was just a dick for the rest of the day. I care a lot about this game and it is impossible for me to remove myself emotionally from what happens here. But no, I dont think I have ever broken something as a direct result of BW.

Probably me. I still give people the response they want when they troll/flame me Every 8th grader has learned to not give the annoying mob the response they want and they will eventually lose interest. Somehow I didnt adapt that mentality to the internet. Anyways I am working on it

Right now, I know you're very supportive of BW. Sorry if you already answered this in the past on this site, but how open are you about your support for BW? I know you represented for starcraft in the Video Game Awards, but what I'm specifically asking is, do you attempt to talk about bw around your friends the same you'd talk about football, etc?
Good question!
I have actually had great friends all my life. I remember waking up my frosh year of uni at 7 am or so to play the final tourney for TLT2. My roomie tolerated the noise of me playing so early and they all even watched/asked for updates as I (to my surprise) progressed through the tourney. Thats just an example. But actually a lot of my friends often brag to other completely uninterested people about my success and status in the BW world and embarrass me by asking me to explain it at the family table or at a party. After this last WCG however more and more people are asking me about it and I am very open to discussing it. I always explain it to the layman as a "very advanced chess game" in that "each unit has a specific task/strength and their are resources to mine so you can grow an economy/army..etc." Also because I was on TV kinda frequently for this last WCG I have people telling me they saw me on TV and asking me about it around Seattle from time to time Kind of cool!

hmmm
Probably IdrA. I used to go around 40/60 with him which I considered fairly good since my worst was ZvT and his best was TvZ. But lately (last few months) he has been in top shape. My best mu is now ZvT and his is still TvZ but he beats me more like 70/30 if not 80/20 now. He is pretty amazing at TvZ. I'd say the best outside korea (including china). Maybe biased but y'know

I've tackled people all my life randomly. My parents tell stories of me being 2-3 years old and lining up another kid 20 feet away. They would say everything went into slow motion as I began my charge hehe.
Yeah I definately can outdrink Midian. I am almost literally twice his size. Aside from that we DID drink and he was hung over for 3-4 days while I was making an ass out of myself the next 2 nights hehe

I think reality crashed in on me. They looked pretty inept the entire game. Going up 14-0 with those turnovers only functioned as a way to make the loss hurt more in my mind hehe.
Anyways they SHOULD draft a RB and make some moves. Hopefully a stronger running game will return with a more experienced Matt H to win the division and make a better run in the playoffs.

wow great question.. hard to answer. It was probably Testie.. although losing to him wasnt something I was ever really mad about, more expected it. I still remember when I first beat him, I had never been so happy over a bw game in my life. Over the years he has trained me, gotten me games and allowed me to watch his games with other top gamers (we are talking 8-9 years here). It wasnt until only 2 years ago or so that I started to actually give him good battles meaning I would steal some games from him or even a series or two. Ironically we would always hit in tourneys and he would always be the end of my run in that tourney hehe. Practicing with and around him definately was my insight into the top level of BW and helped get me towards that area.

Sincerely nobody. I dislike the attitudes and conduct of several players but "hate" nobody. If I had to name someone it would be Dino for hacking in the eSTRO tourney and issuing no apology thus far to the public.

Hmm [In my opinion]
underrated: Machine[Media] Virtually nobody knows about him or even talks about him. But in practice games he competes and beats all the top players (obviously not ALL the time, but his potential and ability to is what I am speaking towards). He is COMPLETELY off the radar but in a week could be all the buzz if he would just stop buckling under pressure! We will see if he can rise to my expectations!
overrated: I dont know >_< I really cant answer this one. I dont think anyone is really unjustifiably overrated.. and answering this just to answer it would be really bad. Make someone or some people very upset over something I dont really support y'know? Sorry for the cop out.
