Did you ever go apeshit after losing a big BW game and throw stuff around?

Right now, I know you're very supportive of BW. Sorry if you already answered this in the past on this site, but how open are you about your support for BW? I know you represented for starcraft in the Video Game Awards, but what I'm specifically asking is, do you attempt to talk about bw around your friends the same you'd talk about football, etc?

The reason is the few players who do play at a very high level like a fisheye, testie, breakdown etc are by far the exception.. and even they had like 130. Generally you need to be at least 150 to be in the run for a B- + level gamer. Attend lans (WCG), watch vods etc.. see how they do it and try to get some ideas. Also practice hotkeys and memorize locations.. this will help increase speed.

I'm either playing a game, checking bw sites or talking on MSN dont really have any need to chat it up on irc when I feel i do that on tl.net anyways My problem with strafe dates back to what I am sure both of us dont remember. We used to be mutual and paly bw games often but when he "retired" he just kinda became a dick to me on tl.net. Thats it really.

If I could go back and pick a different race it would have been protoss. I fell in love with this game for its aliens (zerg) and the protoss are easily the second coolest aliens in sc When I offrace my protoss is actually pretty good. I like their brute power and different units. Really cool race imo.

People can answer this in different ways but as you are asking me I will call on my own personal experience. About 6 months ago I ended a 2 year relationship with a girl that I spent every minute of every day with and was completely in love with. I was certain she was the one and she was certain of the same. Without boring you in details I will just say that it has taken me 6 months to "get over" that relationship. By that I mean return to functionality. I dont get depressed randomly anymore and I dont get the sinking feeling in my stomach when I hear a song we enjoyed or see the name "Anna." I still miss her and often think back on my time with her. The 6 months I was dealing with this were as painful as anything I have ever felt. But in retrospect I would say it is worth it. True love, is something that people find and are lucky to find. Despite the fairytail stories we grow up watching on TV or read about in HS that tell us love is for everyone and is eventually going to find us all it is my personal truth that this is not so. You are lucky to have it and should fight tooth and nail to keep it. Once it is lost respect that pain for it means you really experienced it and were lucky to have it. Grow from the pain and know what it takes to do it again so that you can make fewer mistakes in the future and hopefully treat the next one even better.

I have been fortunate enough to recruit some very nice admins like Stars here Who has helped make the down periods more enjoyable by organizing a few NW's and contacting the members... But yes, I am for the most part bored with it. NW's and National teams were at the highest point of enjoyment when their were leagues, ladders and a sense of importance within the team. Now we have too many ladders, no tourneys and the concept has been kind of thrown to the wayside. USA A will still compete and hopefully some future events will come about that spark interest but for the time being I am babysitting a group of loud mouthed hooligans! And I have little motivation to pursue the sharing of our chaos hehe

On January 16 2008 01:38 fusionsdf wrote: what is your favorite strategy for any race? Nice question! I will answer this in 3 parts, 1 for each race. If you want me to elaborate or just do multiple zerg ones ask away Terran: I love SK terran. And by love I do mean HATE. I love seeing it executed in a fashion that is gorgeous like what Nada does or sepirose used to do. I think the fast aggressive style with a focus on sci vessel conservation is amazingly challenging on both the zerg and especially the terran (ironically). Its a high risk high reward strategy in that its risky due to the demands on the T player with the micro being so intensive and the macro being so difficult but its rewarding in that its unique and completely devestating to deal with. Quick 3-3 rines with mass sci vessels running all over the map making each battle cost effective for the T is a symphony I can watch with a smile. Protoss: I like when protoss get that massive rolling ball of mixed units. Archons/zealots/dragoons/HT's/DA's and a few reavers with corsairs scorching over the sky is intimidating to say the least. But the players who roll this ball around the map and make each battle a picture worthy event are the kind of players I could hug irl. I like the epicness of it and how the protoss army can utilize SO many different units that each are so powerful yet require a lot of actions to actually make worthwhile. Zerg: Being a high aggression player who doesnt have the speed or mechanics to operate a large army in a late game at the level you see the professionals do a lot of my gaming revolves around getting an advantage early. This is usually by a micro intensive early assault that catches the (more often than not) mechanically superior player off guard. I do this by using flanks, hidden techs, ambushes or secret expansions. That being said I _LOVE_ rugged low econ games where each player is scrapping their few resources to maximize that pair of scourge or that extra defiler to survive the final Terran push. I love seeing that last sci vessel explode and represent the final detection ability for the terran sealing the zerg victory. In essence, I like it when the game is as close as it is possible. Kinda vague but yeah... thats what I like
