I dug up something ultimately rare! It pretends to be the rarest expansion pack for vanilla StarCraft that released on 1998. I couldn't find any information about publisher.
Description:
"In search of dominance of the galaxies the three species: Terran, Protoss and Zerg challenge you once again in 1000 thrilling new deadly game levels and missions.
This is a very rare expansion set for Starcraft & Broodwar. It contains 3 new campaigns. It includes 100 Internet Links to StarCraft sites, Maps, Missions, Editors, Utilities, Sounds, Strategies, Newsgroups. Single player and multiplayer options (up to 8 players). Face-to-face combat, allied or team play over a network or via the Internet".
Includes:
- 3 campaigns that contain 20 missions. - 1000 melee maps.
Download:

P.S.: Feedback if link is broken.

wat
It sounds like it doesn't provide anything not already available aside from their missions and maps
Where did you find this anyway?
|
Yes, it isn't giving any modifications and similar like all other custom expansions/add-ons for SC (such as Insurrection, Retribution etc.).
Searched it at isozone. The setup file was so old 16-bit installer and developed for Win 98 that refused to open, so I needed to repair it by using InstallShield 3.x.x 32-bit and extracted every map.

That's one fugly cover. I suppose the content is along the lines of Stellar Forces?
|
Cool, really interesting to see all these SC expansion packs I have never heard of lol, but it seems they are just maps, a few campaign levels, and then more links to maps, websites , and whatnot which is cool, but doesn't seem like it is really something that we wouldn't be able to just download.
But I would like to physically own these expansions
|
I didn't include the links in the pack because 99% of them are outdated due to the published year '98.

|
Of course. Sites are showing up but WayBack Machine doesn't saves files (maps, utilities) thus they're unavailable.

The name is really well chosen, so clever and so cool. I'm pretty sure this expansion was so epic Blizzard launched a witch hunt on the editors and wiped almost every trace of it from the face of the earth.
But there still remains a small group of rebels, dedicating their lives to sharing the epicness, they still fight Blizzard who hacks into their computers to play footage from their horrible new games, something a rebel can never truly recover from. Keep on fighting outscar, you will not be forgotten even if Blizzard sends Putin to silent you.

I have to disappoint you! They're...even... worse... Shitospace!
I apologize that following pictures are NSFW and can frighten off downloaders by causing eyehurt. I just died from getting bored and suffering from eye bleeding while compiling them but music of Lana Del Rey and sake of StarCraft are saved me. R u ready?

...and tons of 'em! WHY, GOD, WHY? I think mapmaker(s) drawed them in a minute and then looked up vocabulary to name every map with basic random word. I found myself in drawing lesson at kindergarten. 1000 maps joining a queue for recycle bin. That proves the theorem of quality, not quantity. Check it out, you won't get bored.
But if you ask my honest opinion: - They must be tested by Korean gosu players. - They deserve to be converted to SC II! - Maybe someone, i.e. best of all - Husky should do casting for each map. - iCCup needs to be alarmed about this jewel pack! I wonder if new map pack comes out they can even remove FS to have a space for these. - I never regret any game in these maps (maybe I love the game itself too much? Not maps).
I leave this for yours custody. So think vigilantly, gentleman. Keep calm and support. I mean,
"Heh heh. You're beginning to show your age, Gerard. Give the boy some credit. He just 'saved us from map deficiency" (c).

LOLLLLL those maps are SO epic !!! HAHAH
ZIGZAG reminds me of one of the first maps I played on in the beta and I know this is unrelated but has anyone ever been chilling with a headset on and all the sudden you hear the sound from MCA launcher when someone whispers you and it catches you off gaurd? Just scared the shit out of me....
|
Zigzag was clearly meant to be played with the added restriction of a player losing the game if any of his units step out of the highway. Good luck babysitting your golis.

Oh, those don't look as bad as Stellar Forces, which had much worse mineral placement, more broken concepts, and random map designs as though someone had literally facerolled their keyboard and called it a day. At least these maps have some semblance of symmetry and better mineral placement despite how lazy they are. It looks like the devs literally spent a minute per map.

ROFL, bigmineral looks like a made I could've made in C&C Red Alert back looooong ago. Loved Minerals. :D

Is mud(3) and human(3) the same map?
And perhaps they had a some kind of map generator?
Edit: Ahahah, thanks stratos.

they're actually not. that's hillarious, they just added some mud :D
