I'm also voting for those that I have opinions about since I've just started to follow pro-SC recently
Garimto award + Show Spoiler +Bisu, like they said, 2 MSL Golds, 1 MSL silver and an OSL bronze... he put his stamp on this year as his year
Boxer award + Show Spoiler + Upmagic and his inability to be afraid of trying something new or creative even in big matches
WTF moment + Show Spoiler +
Team of the year + Show Spoiler + CJ, they're consistent and they're young players are turning out well IMO (Kwanro, etc)
Game of the year + Show Spoiler + Bisu vs Savior Game 2 at the last osl, That had me at the edge of my seat screaming at my monitor..

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Year: Bisu - Although I sometimes find myself wondering about his decisionmaking and something that I suppose best could be described as 'arrogance' (mostly micro-wise), he's produced so many S-class games and complete stompings this year, especially when pressure has been on. To sum up the general TL-conception of the year: "He's so damn clutch!"
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player: So hard to say. A lot of people have been very disappointing and downright bad. On the other hand there are players in OGN and ACE and stuff that play like two games a year, suck even more ass but are rarely discussed. It's a lot harder to discuss who's been sucking the most than it is to discuss who's performed the best.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Blank I missed Oversky's proxy hatchery, but from what I've read it was slick. I generally feel a lot of players can surprise with brilliant, bold moves under pressure when you least expect them to, just not Justin.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award I suppose my vote goes to Goodfriend as well. No one else comes to mind really, except Midas who hasn't really been all that absent after all - it's just been a general feeling of mine.
The Team of the Year Award Blank vote. I could go for Lecaf considering their consistent performance or I could go for CJ considering the massive amount of good players they currently field (who are performing increasingly better every week imo)
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Year Award Firebathero - floating ring ceremony. I just didn't get that one at all. Utterly retarded.
Game of the Year I want to say g3 Bisu vs Hwasin in the ro16, MSL3 (which btw was a candidate for 'WTF-moment' in my book) - but my heart says Gorush vs Anytime on Blue Storm in the MBC Survivor this November. Why? Sparta. Madness. Cracklings.
The 'Sea' Best Newcomer Award I have to say Mind, because I honestly didn't know who the hell he was before MSL3, other than remembering seeing his face on a WEMADE poster sometime (yes, he would also get my vote if there was an award for 'Ugliest korean progamer at the moment')
The 'rA' Award for Proleague Performances I cant believe there hasn't been more votes for Anytime. Not only was this fall's winstreak absolutely amazing, but the yearly tradition is truly becoming the stuff of legends by now.
The Most Improved Blank vote here too. I feel there's been so many changes back and forth. Stork has really bloomed out, Hwasin has (in my eyes) gone from good to brilliant. Not to mention how all the 'newcomers' could be considered as the ones who've improved the most. Mind, Jaedong, Bisu, Kwanro are all candidates imo. Just too hard to vote on this one.

The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Year; even though im a Savior fan, i still hafta give it to bisu, he has just been better this year except for the end...
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player rA... probably not exactly the 'worst' player, but certainly most disappointing
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Oversky for sure, proxy hatch..., sloverlord drop... ling break on bisu..., even that crazy game he lost vs jaedong... damn this guy is fun to watch runners up goes to chalrenge ^^
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award i donno chRh?
The Team of the Year Award OGN , no star players but still owns a top tier record and the best 2v2 dual.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Year Award Chalrenge vs Lucifer when chalrenge 'almost' won with only a handful of probes and 2 dts
Game of the Year game 1 of savior vs FBH GOM MSL2... quoting klazart "Battlecruisers battlecruisers!"
and the new ones are....
The 'Sea' Best Newcomer Award; Mind?, i donno if he counts as a newcomer
The 'rA' Award for Proleague Performances Much
The Most Improved Luxury or Upmagic

I personally interpreted the award somewhat as the opposite of "improved the most" as well. But yeah, that was more games than I thought he had played this (last?) year.
I've seen Goodfriend play like 4-5 televised games this year (that I can remember anyway), but that says more about the amount of SC I watch than anything else.

Most improved:
Jaedong, because he can't really count as a new comer. He's the post-Savior zerg! Amazing ZvT and an OSL.

Vote for Game of the Year goes to:
Game 1 of savior vs FBH of gom msl2
Because savior just would not quit
|
The 'Garimto' Award for Player of the Year; Bisu. Even as a fan of Savior, Bisu with 2 msl titles and revolutionizing pvz makes him the best player of the year.
The 'Mumyung' Award for Worst Player Nal-ra, total disappointment this year.
The 'Boxer' Creativity/Inspiration Award Silver for his creativity on Monty Hall with the offensive hatchery, and fittingly, he also beat Boxer with that build.
The 'Chojja' Missing in Action Award I have to say Kingdom but now I know why he played so few games, so sad.
The Team of the Year Award CJ Entus. Even though Lecaf is raping right now, they only have a few players they send over and over again imo, whereas CJ has more depth and is more of a team.
The 'WTF!' Moment of the Year Award Bisu eliminating Savior 3-0 in the msl.
Game of the Year Savior vs Iris on Neo Arkanoid game 5 of the msl semis.
The 'Sea' Best Newcomer Award; Mind surprised a lot of people by beating Bisu and winning the msl.
The 'rA' Award for Proleague Performances Anytime, this man is a beast.
The Most Improved Jaedong is definitely most improved. His zvz has always been great but winning the last osl took more than luck.
edit: added rA award

Bisu is an obvious choice. He was hailed by everyone on this forum as the best. And his results showed. 2 MSL victories. Enough said
Casy. I forgot about Shinhan 3 OSL. Clon he was what 1-10 in Proleague at one point? He is the worst statistically.
Silver came up with the ingenious "silver build" for Monty Hall, a zerg graveyard. This unprecedented innovation of using hydra/guardian as a siege force based at a proxy expo directly affected the outcome of Daum OSL where GGPlay used the build to come back and defeat Iris.
Kingdom has played 2, TWO games this year. Enough said.
Lecaf OZ is a stronger team than CJ Entus. CJ does not have that unstoppable line of AT/JD/Forgg/Hiya and has not even made the playofs in the first round. I would have picked Samsung but with their failiure in round 2 sealed the deal.
Looks like a lot of people agree that Bisu 3-0 Savior was THE most wtf moment of the year. No one , not a single damn person would have predicted that outcome and a rape on THAT level.
Iris v Savior @Araknoid. This btw could also qualify for the wtf moment of the year. All you atheists out there, there was proof after this game that god exists. Did you see the first and second wave of marines entering Savior's EMPTY main? Did you see those what TEN drops at his nats? I'm sorry but that was game defied logic. It was divine intervention. God came down from the heavens and stopped those marines!
Mind is looking like a very strong player. he has an MSL title for crying out loud. While he still hasn't played many games, he is a better player than Flash who started out on fire but quickly slumped without any achievments.
Stork is a better player than Anytime in Proleague. Stork to his team means more than any other player to any team. Yes Lecaf was the better team this year, but Anytime had Jaedong and Forgg and now recently Hiya. For Samsung this season, nobody played great. They were at 11'th place at one point (which is the lowest place since ACE is a special team). Stork literally carried his team on his shoulders from 11'th to 5'th place and even now Khan has a fain chance of making playoffs. Please do not forget that Stork beat Anytime and in turn Khan won the first round of Proleague by sweeping Lecaf.
Jaedong played plenty of games in 06 but he was just a mediocre zerg. He never got far in any individual league and Proleague was the only thing he had going for him. Now Jaedong is the best zerg in the world. He is undesputedly the best vT/Z in the world. He had an unprecedented 14 game ZvT win streak and displayed top level ZvP in the OSL finals.

Hm... it seems that Stork is under-represented in the proleague award. Most people voted for Sea or Anytime. Glancing at Stork's games, it seems that he has beaten some big names out there (Anytime, Bisu, and Iloveoov are examples).

Was savior v iris @neo arkanoid this year? Cuz if so, THAT.

- He carried Khan in Proleage; as did Sea for MBC and Anytime for Lecaf
- Lead Khan to victory in PL Season 1
- Won MVP for Season 1
- He has the second most wins in Proleague
- He has a higher Proleague elo than Anytime (ie his opponents were tougher)
despite not getting as many votes (because anytime is ripping up this season of proleague and people on this site don't have long term memory) his consistent efforts throughout both seasons means that he deserves this award the most.

Anytime dropped the ball against Khan and has shown no individual league progress this year. Stork has better stats than Anytime and did it while playing strongly in OSL and MSL. Sea has better stats than Anytime but his individual league schedule wasn't as hectic as Stork's.
Stork should get the ProLeague award. He performed the best while facing the toughest schedule. Stork's performance in ProLeague this year was excellent, and it casts a shadow over everyone else's. If Stork doesn't win this award I'm going to have to assume there are tons of people who never think posting in this thread.
