I'm not sure about the zealot hits to kill lings but I guess he was just waiting for more gas before getting it. max and banking 2k gas, he was waiting for more gas? He spent all his gas on ultras and was sitting sub 200 gas right after I posted it

This was a surprising series in many ways. Definitely will make me reconsider the way I feel about those infestors ultras styles, with adequate micro and vipers it seemed amazingly able to take fights even against an army designed to slaughter it. I would have liked to see pucK have some more storms and to take other walled bases before engaging (if you wall them correctly the ultra player can't really do anything until he has brood lords), then try to kill the remaxes as they hatch.

as much as the immortals are important if you dont have colossus then ling/infestor suddenly wrecks protoss

His army composition wasn't perfect. When you face ultra styles you aim for literally mass archons + immortals + templars for feedbacks and storms because it will literally kill any remax. He had a bit too many chargelots for my taste, he could have sacrificed some for harass while building up a gas heavy army behind his walls. And no armor upgrades definitely hurt. It was complicated anyway, don't get me wrong, infestor ling kinda make you need colossi but then vipers counter them so it becomes a micro war. Tricky style, good for Zergs who can micro 3-4 army groups without any problem I guess.

It's really refreshing (who would have thought back in 2012 someone would ever say that !) to see some infestor styles.

12:00 Slam 138 vs puCK 121 Slam surrounds an immortal and kills it, and 1 zergling gets into the main. Slam's fourth is finally under construction again. Templar archives on the way. puCK building a cannon next to a proxy pylon. puCK forces a cancel on the fourth of Slam.
13:00 Slam 148 vs puCK 155 Slam attacks the third with zerglings and forces a recall. Slam nearly kills HTs but they morph into archons.
15:00 Slam 182 vs puCK 168 7 ultralisks on the way. puCK cancels the fourth of Slam. Slam's units are in the center. Three ultralisks are isolated but they don't get picked off. Slam attacks and lands amazing fungals and blinding clouds.
