No Morrow, David Kim didn't nerf Widow Mines because he thought they were too strong vs zerg. Seriously, I don't understand how anyone can be on this show without being aware of that.

what was the reasoning behind it then?
Anyway, he nerfed it because he wanted to create synergy between Siege Tansk and Widow Mines + bio. It didn't work and thus was reverted.
David Kim actually said TvZ wasn't imbalanced when he nerfed it. So if you follow the logic of David Kim, then it is implied that TvZ would be zerg favored if terrans continued to only go 4M after the Widow Mine patch (which they did).
Xenocider is great, Harstem is okay, but a bit borish in my opinion (however I still like him as a person, seems nice and does an okay job in Meta!). Morrow has a lot of opinions, but I feel that they are long shots and weird from time to time. Overall this thing with going over the maps are extremly boring aswell. Other topics such as Pro League and other would be way more interesting.

Great to hear there will be more next week though and scdojo looks cool!
at the beginning of this show artosis said he wanted to go into the game with this show analyse balance etc, not focusing on tournaments etc too much.

I just think spending that much time just on discussing the maps was quite boring. You can discuss balance from other perspectives aswell such as Pro League, GSL and what not.

They don't do drama and community news etc., but they always did tournament previews and tournament talk. Predicting winners etc was always done, was always the most fun part .
Edit: But Proleague finals are a good topic for next week, I thought we won't have another episode for a month or so, but this way it's fine. At least maps are out of the way now!

oh yeah true i remember, have to agree the map part was where i closed the stream, not really worth watching i'd say
I thought discussing the maps was excellent. It's actually why I tuned in to watch, but I seem to be an outlier. Maybe it did drag on a bit.
Perhaps it would be a more popular segment if it was sexier (more about balance) and/or shorter.
Don't cover the whole map pool, or cover a couple maps only very briefly. Each guest picking their most imbalanced map, in general or for a match up or favouring a particular race. Each guest picking their favourite/least favourite map. Making their case then the others have a pop at their analysis. Splitting the discussion into two segments for two different episodes. Or... something.
Maybe get a map designer on?
I dunno, whatever. This was fine for me and I'd like to see more of the same or similar plx.
Meta today was so boring, except for Xenocider. There needs to be a zerg on there, too. It's a balance discussion.
It's just too politically correct. The problem is that if you bring players with sponsors on, then they simply won't say anything controversial. But most good players have sponsors...

If you look around for controversy, there's more than enough. If it were a balance discussion -I don't think it is- but if it were then it can do that perfectly well with a controversy quotient of exactly 0.
