How do you keep track of who said what where, etc?
The end result then becomes people will just end up choosing only one of them because it becomes too hard to manage two discussions about the same thing, which therefore leads to fragmenting of the community.

I'm loving the site, well designed and functional. Great work!

If I had an interest in all these games and poker, I might feel it's getting too fragmented. For me it's now a matter of visiting TL for almost anything but SC2 content, and visiting Liquiddota (LD?) for the game I'm actually interested in.
When you split off Hearthstone I didn't care, because I had no interest in the game. But now I definitely feel this site is separated from the TL community and I struggle to see why TL itself cannot be some metasite with the different portals directly connected, other than the technical challenge it is. It's certainly much easier to do it this way, but I'm not really a fan

Good stuff. The new website is very well designed. I'm loving the new stream list. (And my CM icon. yes plz).

So what's going on at the original TL? LoL was moved to Other Games now has it's tab back.

Dunno the CS:GO thread is moving slowly, I lost my passion for PoE and TL+ isn't in a spammy phase so thats basically it for what I checked outside the Dota forums
E: oops didn't realize what thread this is in I suppose you weren't quite asking in the general manner that I answered

ya and we won't benefit from the overall higher IQ and deeper discussion of the SC2 community.

Although I understand the reason, I'm really left dissatisfied with the decision for a number of reasons that have already been said.
I always thought of TL as a "special home" mostly because the site happened to support both the games I share interest with and also for it's ability to attract like minded people. I also believe TL's move to support DotA alongside Starcraft help attribute the fact that people that came from an exclusive Starcraft background went on to try and love DotA as well.
I didn't bother to look back at it but I do remember when TL.net began supporting DotA, it came with a statement that was made very clear that supporting the game just felt "right". That stuck with me personally because looking back at it retrospect, I completely agreed that adding DotA to the TL.net just felt natural to me.

And now I know that Nazgul is BS

Hey Nazgul, I generally agree with your reasoning, however I still browse TL.net for a lot of things like general discussion, other games, blogs, and streams (for BW). I was wondering if you could add dota 2 back to the streams section. It would be very convenient for me to see tournaments and top tier players streaming from TL. Even if it's just a link that brings you over here when streams are happening, that would be very convenient for me, and of course it could still be turned off by people who just like SC.

I think splitting up the site like this is good. It is easier to find the tournaments I want to watch and read the articles which interest me. However it would have been nicer if site jumping would have been smoother.
