Really just threw the series away. the bio mech builds just seemed like such a poor choice especially when his bio + hellbat was doing so well. Should have won game 1 and been a lot more competitive in game 4

I don't like Maru as starting player.

Billowy is so gimmicky player but his play is not that impressive if maru scouts well and plays safe I'm quite sure Billowy can't beat him.

MVP doesn't have, other than DRG, many good zerg players so Maru should be safe from those. a lot TvP incoming I think.

I also don't like him as the starter. I feel like they should save him so that he is harder to prepare for.

Jin Air has the luxury position of having $o$, Rogue, Maru, Cure all capable of securing multiple kills.
Starting with one of two aces (who is the more consistent one IMO) is risky. It does however pressure MVP to put out the big hitters ASAP (Given Billowy doesn't KT his way over Maru, I don't think he will, but it's still Yeonsu..).
JinAir has a a much stronger roster with many heavy hitters, while MVP seems kinda short on those (DRG (inconsistent), Super (at the level of $O$/Rogue/Cure, dunno...).

So, strategically, I like putting Maru out first. It's risky, but also exciting :D! [image loading]

too bad they couldn't match up Rogue vs Billowy first. Billowy doesn't have very good ZvP so it would have been a good start for Jin Air. They are almost certainly going to send DRG out 2nd if Maru beats Billowy so it should be interesting

Yeah, I agree. Maru is so solid vs toss that there is very little benefit to him knowing his opponent is Billowy. All he knows is he should scout like a mad man.

Billowy on the other hand can now tailor a build for him.
