Some siblings and I have started a web comic over at http://rcscomic.com
To give some background on us, I am a filmmaker (the biggest project I worked on was the TV series Alcatraz, which was cancelled) who does a weekly blog on my experiences in gaming (and is working on a bi-weekly side-comic for the site as of now unreleased), my sister writes the script (she was an editor for Orson Scott Card's sci-fi magazine) and my older brother does the artwork (he is most known for being the character designer of the tv series Archer, season one) who also has done comics for Adventure Time, Bravest Warriors, etc.
The biggest challenge I am finding is really identifying the audience. I think most of the data shows that you never know when these things will catch on.
My feeling is it will take seven years before we see any dividends from the work (a few people disagree with me) but I think that feels about right.
The site is for fun; we all have jobs, we aren't majorly concerned with monetizing just yet.
Today's post involved typing 1,000 words about expansion sets and dlc in gaming. Naturally, I talked about brood war, how a common support in dota 2 received a new outfit, and made a crack about high-def eyebrow modifications for skyrim (which do exist)
We are currently posting one panel a week, as there is a great demand away from the keyboard to work on the things that are actually paying our bills.
Still, it would be nice if we could afford to donate more time to produce the content of the site.

For what it is worth, we will be at a variety of conventions around the United States this year, if you do see us, please stop by and say hi.
Bonus points to anyone who mentions Team Liquid, a site that has helped me keep a finger on the pulse of gaming since I first visited ten years ago.

The suspense is killing me already. What will become of the toaster? Why did Wrench start rushing forward?

This is true, and I'd extend that statement to the majority of internet users these days. Regardless, 1 panel per week is just excruciatingly slow for the average reader, there's just no other way to put it. Considering there's five panels out right now, that's five weeks where basically nothing has happened in the comic so far (story wise).
But other than that, I think the setting and characters from three different eras is a cool idea and i like the art style a lot. Keep at it and good luck.

At this rate in three months we might be 15 footsteps into the story!

One thing that will help alleviate the monotony of this slow march through a desert will probably be a secondary strip that gets posted three times a week.
The original look and feel for the comic is found in this pitch book online: http://neversaydiestudios.blogspot.com/p/robot-cowboy-samurai.html
You can see much more of a comic layout, flow, and feel.
We were offered a spot on a podcast to talk about the comic, but declined, because we all felt "there's no real content up yet, maybe after a few months we'll have put the ground work for a story down."
We'll see what happens.

good luck as it was said.. getting to be "noticed" in comics is hard bonne chance

Please, please, please make the new pages load more smoothly. I dont care how awesome your comic is, if it takes a second to load a page and then another one to scroll down, just to read a page for a second, thats going to piss a lot of people off.
